Hi!

I've been a forum voyeur for some time, but switched from a joyetech 510 to an ego this week. WHAT a difference. No real smokes (formerly 5-7 a day) since Friday and I'm LOVING the ego! I can't believe I didn't try one sooner!

So my question...I tried a friends ego-C Twist last week. I was in Heaven. Then, I get my regular ego and some juices locally, then ordered the juice I had tried last week from online. It arrived today, but it doesn't seem nearly as flavorful as last week.
Could the ego Twist battery make that much of a difference in flavor?
I have been vaping a Cinnamon/Ice mix or Strawberry/Cream all weekend, what arrived today is VanHazin from Vape Hut. Is it my tastebuds from the Cinnamon/Ice or could it be a voltage difference?
I'm debating whether I should order the Twist for a few more $ to my investment.

Any input is greatly appreciated!

Hi Rosa (I just moved from the Heights to ATL)!

What does adjusting the voltage do? The guy at the shop I went to, said it would make a harsher vape and I probably didn't smoke enough before to make it worth my while for a Twist. I'm thinking for $30, it's worth a shot. The cinnamon/ice is strong enough that the voltage is fine on my regular batteries, but this VanHazin seemed SO much more intense last week. Is that the battery difference?

Thanks for your input!!

With a variable voltage battery also depending on what ohms your delivery system has you can go up and down until you find what works best for you.

Lower resistance cartos, clearos, etc., work well with the regular eGo batteries that are not vv. If you go too high voltage you get harsh and/or burnt taste if you have LR.

With higher resistance you can experiment with higher voltages and give you a better range IMO.

It all depends on what you feel comfortable with. If you have LR juice delivery devices you may be happy with the regular eGo. These batteries run usually around 3.7 volts.

The flavor of some juices come through better with a higher voltage setting and HR cartos, clearos, etc.

Was thinking my post may be a bit ambiguous if you're new to vaping. So let me try again:

A vape set up consists of 3 variables.

A battery (eGo, Vamo, Provari, etc). Batteries come in set voltage (what you bought from the vendor); variable voltage such as the twist; REO mods (usually these are also set voltage/watts; and the latest are the variable wattage/voltage.

A juice delivery system such as cartomizers, clearomizers, carto tanks, etc. These devices themselves come in different ohms. Low Resistance, Standard Resistance, and High Resistance. The lower the ohms the hotter the coil gets and the more vapor is generated. If you use a LR device on a vv at a high setting, you will fry your coil. Therefore, they're not the best candidates to use on a vv battery at a higher temperature.

And last, the flavored/unflavored ejuice at different nicotine strengths.

Once you find the best of these three components for your taste, then you're on your way to a more satisfying experience.

I hope it's ok with you that I broke it down to basics. I'm not sure how long you've been dabbling with vaping LOL.

I'm sure others will chime in.
