Just when I think I'm so smart....a little humility sandwich

I was excited about filling my own KR808s and using them on my V2 batteries. Bought some juice yesterday, condom filled some V2 blanks, bam! They were fantastic. Then I filled some more today with a different liquid, my ECs that came in the mail. Both batteries, fully charged (1 manual and 1 auto) blinked three times and shut off. I freaked out thinking I had shorted out my batts. Remained calm. Put a V2 cart on them and they were fine. I am thinking I broke the carts or something. I popped the caps off and re-centered the little tubey thing. Now I have one working again, but one is still dead. A statement to myself and a question for those more knowledgeable: 1: Do not proclaim to someone that you are thrilled to have "mastered" the condom filling method and "it's so easy" until you have consistently filled those suckers for a while. 2: Did I over-fill it? The batteries are fine, and I only filled to the mid of the condom cap as instructed just about everywhere online. I wiped off the battery portion after I blew through it. I'm not sure what I did wrong. Could it be that this juice is 50/50 and the last was likely 70/30? I guess that's two questions

Never mind, I suppose...they're all working now. I'm not sure exactly what I did, but now I am enjoying some WPALZ and Dragon's Tear right out of the envelope...can't wait to steep them a bit and put them in my Vivi Novas!

The condom fill method works but one reason I stopped doing it was that it is messier than just drip filling, and for me anyway wasn't that much quicker.
I doubt the PG/Vg has anything to do with your issue. Its possible that a bit of juice leaked into your batteries. Juice inside batteries can fry them. Standard size cartomizers take around 20 drops to fill. Maybe try drip filling - 15-20 drops. Let them sit around 20 minutes. Check no over-filling (shouldn't be at 15-20 drops).
A lot of people do use the condom method. I just found it was messier myself because the end of the carto does get juice on it.

Will do! I'm very glad I didn't fry my batteries. I really don't want to have to go back to V2 and tell them both of my batteries died at the same time....and then I realized I'd probably done it myself and that's not really a warranty issue!

I used to like the drip method better myself, stick a toothpick in the hole and drip around the sides.
