Anyone know any tricks to getting the he rap it mold into the lines on the v1? Thinking about a carbon fiber wrap but I want the grooves to show up

Would love to know this too. Just tried to put one on a blue ProVari using a heat gun and it looked like crap. Ended up taking it off. Got one on a polished mini and it looks good, but on the blue all the lines and dimples look cloudy.

Wouldn't think it wouldn't be hard on the earlier tubes IAMA I put a black carbon fiber wrap on my Polished V2.5 and without trying most of the crop circles show just from rubbing it to smooth it when I installed it. Could probably "burnish" each of them deeper easy enough with something the right size to make them show up even more (but won't because I hate the crop circles).

I have one with the verticle lines (a 2.5 made on an old tube)... would make it even easier to burnish them in IMO.

Burnishing is repeated rubbing to gradually polish or shape something. IE use a smooth, snag free tool of some sort to gradually work the wrap down into the verticle lines end to end. Metal, wood or plastic a little smaller than the verticle lines are wide.

Get one of those vacuum bag sealing things walmart sells & put your wrapped provari in it. Might work.
