AW IMR batteries are usually recommended due to their "safer" chemistry. If you can't get them, use a protected battery (one that has a PCB built in). Batteries-Chargers-Flashlights-Only The Best is one good place to order batteries, unfortunately it appears everything they have is out of stock.
