K100 denting batteries...safe or replace?

Efest 18650 battery dented from bottom pin of k100. My 18350 still looks pretty good but this one doesn't. May be hard to tell in the photos. Should I replace it? Or should I continue to use it as long as it works? It's about 4-5 months old btw.

How long do batteries typically last anyways before I should replace them?

looks like a rather harsh dent, it may have compromised the internal structure of the battery. How did the dent occur? dropped? tightened the base excessively? I myself would retire that battery... and try to figure out how it happened...

From the bottom pin pushing on the battery. I don't feel I tightened too much cuz any looser and it wouldn't fire.. I have dropped my mod a couple times yes. I think I will take your word for it and just replace it.
Btw due to the dent in the bottom, it's actually not performing right now that I think about it. Seems I have to push the fire button a certain way to get it to fire correctly. Thanks!

I've had one battery dent like that in my K100 after dropping it onto the button end. I recycled the battery. Like Bunnykiller said, I don't trust that the internal structure of the battery is still good. One of these batteries having an internal short while vaping is really bad news.

Yup. The battery has been physically compromised - time for recycling that one out.

Just replace the battery and don't take any chances. I had that happen in another device and the battery was only slightly damaged. That was enough for me to replace it.

Don't know about the efets's, but the vtc4 are great. I have two of them and they hit really hard on mech mods.
