I can't get it to fire in 18350 mode. I got two new efest batteries today and charged them up. The charger says they are at 4.2 volts so I know they are good. I have sanded my contacts so do you think the bottom contact isn't reaching the battery and maybe I should take some metal off the bottom of the silver telescopic tube. Only thing I can think of is the mod is bottoming itself out and not reaching the batteries.

i didnt mod my k100 when i got it. it fired straight up.
i have modded my chichi and i guess i sanded the contacts a bit too much. it misfires a lot because sometimes the pin wouldnt complete the circuit.
you should check if you can complete the circuit or not. if not, then you sanded too much off.

Everything screwed down nice and snug? Nipple tops or flat for your efests? I haven't sanded the contacts in my k100 yet, but using button top efests, it didn't fire until I screwed everything together really snug.
They are flat tops. Everything is tight. I metered the batteries and they are good. I took some metal off the silver tube and sanded the plastic on the spring a little too. It is making contact I can see where it touched on the battery. The crappy 18350 that came with the kit wouldn't fire either when I got it so I threw it out. But it works fine with flat top 18500. I am super confused about this.
Got it. I cranked it so tight it felt wrong lol. Doesn't seem like I should have to have it so tight though.
