Kamry k-1000 e-pipe

Hi there!
I'm looking for input on the Kamry e-pipe.
I have now had three of them. The first I toasted the first one by dropping the battery in upside down. Ok, my bone head move. So I purchased another one. I was heading out the door, took a pull and nothing. Fine, went back to the shop I got it at and he looked in over and replaced it with a new one. All is good (this was Sunday evening) Tonight I dropped in a fresh battery and nothing! Then I noticed the battery cap getting REALLY hot. pulled the cap and dumped the battery out.

I really like this pipe... if it would just keep working.
Does anyone have any input?

Eureka!
Turns out I was over tightening the tank to the battery body.
I seems that the Protank II coil contact will set back and arc if over tightened.
