Kamry K100--Holocron Safe Fuse or Evolv Kick??

I just bought a Kamry K100. I am concerned about safety and battery protection. I understand that a battery should not be discharged below 3.2 volts. So will one of these 2 devices take care of these issues?
Also, which carto and/or atomizer will perform good as well as fit under the asthetic cover that comes with the Kamry? Pls and TY!

I never used the asthetic cover on mine, I just took that part off and used an EVOD clearomizer, which fit fine on it.

I never discharge my batteries past 3.5 to be honest and the vape gets very poor at that point anyway. 3.2 is critical discharge AFAIC.

Hopefully you own a multimeter so you can take readings on your batts, and also on your delivery device so you know it's not shorted before you put it on there..

The newer Kamry comes with a safety fuse now:

If you get a kick you do not need a fuse, it will detect shorts and when battery charge drops below 3.2 under load.

I'm pretty sure the kicks wont fit in your Kamry unless you use a 18490 or 18500 IMR battery -- can't fit with a 18650. I wouldn't use it with a 18350 as the battery life is going to be dismal?

Most batteries these days can handle discharges down to 2.2-2.4 volts. At that point ... you won't even beable to fire a coil.

If you use IMR batteries ... the chance of having a catastrophic battery failure is slim. Just make sure your battery can handle the amps your atty is pulling. If you feel the fire button getting hot ... simply stop using it and inspect the battery. Check for atty shorts.

I own a Holocron and have never uses it in my mechanicals. But I tend to use low ohm rebuildables. Which is why I don't use a kick either.

AFAIK, 2.5 volts is considered minimum and not recommended in use. I've taken one of mine down to 2.7 once by mistake and it was OK, but never lower so I have no first hand experience with this. I aim to exchange my batteries at 3.6 V minimum no-load. If you have information on 2.2-2.4V being a new standard I would love to know more about it

Thanks guys! I realize this mod is for experienced vapers. I started out with volt, then bought a vamo, now I have a Kamry. I don't know much, but you got to start somewhere....

Just depends on the battery. Most I've seen have a max discharge rating of 2.2 - 2.5 these days.

Your battery will be fine just as long as you don't discharge below that rating.

Hrmmm ... I could have sworn some of the newer hybrids had a rating below 2.5 volts.

On my phone atm and can't confirm. Maybe I'm thinking wrong? Anywhoo ... I tend to run my batteries until very little vapor is being produced. That's around 2.8-3 volts generally. Have yet to throw away a single one due to cell death.

In general, you can stress a battery to its minimum and maximum ratings. The manufacturer often places a cushion on those ratings as well ... just to be safe. I'm not too sure where the whole "change your batteries at around 3.4 volts" idea came from. That's well above the battery spec.

I would never consider taking my batteries below 3.2 volts as its nit a very satisfying vape at that lvl..

Ive only pushed one of my batteries as a test at .6 ohm 18350 mode.. It heats up very quick.. At that moment i know to stop an let cool.. All my sub ohms are in 18650 mode.. And never heat up..
I use the new efest luc digital charger tells me upper and lower levels of vatteries so i have a pretty good idea when to swap the batteries..

IMR 18350 maximum amp output is 6 amps I believe. 18650 starts at 10 amps and goes up, depending on model.

0.6 ohm on a 18350 is pushing it for sure.
