Haven't tried the K100 tho I do have a KTS. I like the looks of the KTS better. Mine is of the Gold/Chrome variety. Button was real easy to get used to. I works excellent with low ohm devices. Great vapor production and good battery life. I know this isn't exactly what you were looking for but, hope this helps you any way.

vape ON !!!! :vapor:

looking into these two mech mods. I have tried the k100 and liked it but havnt tried the KTS. From a look view only the KTS is much nicer looking and I like hte fire button position alot more.

just wanted to check and see if anyone here tried both. thanks
It's interesting that you're comparing a bottom button (K100, K101) to a side button (KTS). I've tried both the K101 (the smooth, parallel grooved version of the K100) and the KTS... and I bought the K101. But... I tend to prefer bottom button mech mods, so perhaps not a fair comparison.

All the VWs I can think of, and all the eGos have top'ish-side buttons, so no choice there... but for mechs, you have a choice. If you try both for a period of time, you may develop a preference... like I have for bottom button mechs.
Side buttons, if not done well, can be problematic. There's not a lot of room on a tube for a heavy duty, quality side button... so you run into durability, reliability issues, I think, more frequently.

I bought both at the same time. They were my first mechanical mods and I didn't know which switch type I would prefer in the long run. Bought about 3 months back and one of these is used about 90% of the time I vape. I vape about 2 ml on a work day and double that on a day off.

The K100's switch spring was hard to get used to at first because it's so hard I could not use my pinky on it all day. I switched to using my ring finger and then moved over one more to my middle finger which I found very comfortable. The switch on the KTS being on one side makes it easier to use with a AGA-T. I set the switch button so that the air hole is down when I pick the mod up which is great for a gennie. With the K100 I have to look at the RBA and typically rotate the mod a bit when I pick it up.

I've spent about 3 times more time with the K100 than the KTS. I had a mishap with it today where I put it in a cup of coffee (don't ask .. just ) and didn't notice it for a while. Soaked to about half way up the battery. I washed everything off, dried it all and went back to vaping. A little while later I had my first ever miss-fire with it and the vape became anemic. No heat-up anywhere that I could tell. I looked closer at the switch and saw black crud on the battery contact surface. I scraped it off (didn't want to sand it), cleaned with alcohol and applied a small amount of Ox-Gard and it's been good as new since. I have not done anything to the KTS. I applied Ox-Gard sparingly to all contact points I could easily get to on both mods when I first got them.

Both mods have had no issues with surface finish degradation yet, but I suspect the KTS will soon.

In the end, I believe both hit the same and are great for the price. I go with the K100 much more than the KTS now.
