As I understand it, the Aero tank uses the same coil as the PT3. As long as that is the case, then yes, you can rebuild it with cotton.
I rebuild my PT3 coils in both single and dual coil. With cotton, I have found it easiest to use Peaches and Cream yarn, particularly if I am building dual coils.
For a single coil build it is basically the same as a PT2 coil rebuild. This isn't to hard and there are plenty of vids on youtube and such to show the teardown and assembly of the stock coil.
The problem with dual coil builds on this one is the amount of space. I ended up figuring out a method that stacks the coils (like it is factory built) with a piece of wick between the 2 coils and using 34 gage wire. I also found a multimeter a necessity for dual coil builds on these. If it doesn't go together exactly right, the dual coils will short out at different points during the build. It was extremely frustrating for the first couple of tries, but it gets easier as you go.
Given the time and the (in my opinion) negligible difference in taste and vapor production, I tend to do the single coil builds more, but I'm not sure if that is true with the airflow adjustment on the aero.
