Kanger coil confusion...HELP!

I'm getting different info from different places so I'd like to ask y'all what your understanding is on the "universal" kanger coil and other Kanger coils. here's the deal:

I just bought a ProTank 2 and it came with coil heads that have ribbing (knurling) all the way up and down the coil head post.

My Evod that I purchased about a month ago has a coil head that only has ribbing (knurling) at the top of the coil head post. The post is also quite a bit thinner in diameter then the posts on the PT2.

Since the PT2 coil heads have thicker posts they won't fit inside the Evod tank because the post is too big for the inner tank tube. The Evod coil head does seem to fit and work ok with the PT2 since it has a thinner post.

So, what exactly are the "universal" coil heads? They can't be the one's that have the ribbing all the way up and down the post because those do not fit Evods as they are too fat to fit inside the evod tank tube. Ugh...frustrating and confused here.

They just recently standardized the heads. I don't know if this is an accurate photo on the site, but they are selling the new ones.

Maybe you have a few knock off heads or odd knock-off Evods. Kanger protank and Evod coils have been being swapped since first released.
I have both original Kanger Evods and Protanks 1&2 as well as FT clones of the Evod and Protank. All have the same size tank pipes.

I trust the people that I bought the PT2 from....DiscountVapers.com is reputable. The Evod...well....I could see that one being a knock off. Thanks for the info

Yea it sounds like your evod is a knock off. They should have the knurling on the whole post and not just the top.

Real Kanger PT and evod heads are interchangeable.

Yes, if you got the coils from Eric at DV you are good to go for correct part. If the pipe will not fit, swap out the one from the original coils. First chance pick up 1-2 original Kanger Evods.

your somehow / somewhere mixing clones with ~gen-u-ine~ kanger gear ?

only thing about universal is kanger stopped making the small tight draw evod coil
and chose the tall larger diameter protank style coils
(sure they are working on bringing the T3S coils in line at this time)

those with that 'top knurl' are cloned, I'd say
