Kanger replacement coils confusion

Hi everyone

I have an Evod BCC that needs a new coil. I just received a new ProTank 2 that came with a spare one so I figured I would use that for my Evod. I've been told they're universal now...one coil for the ProTank, ProTank 2 and Evod.

However, the coils that came with my ProTank 2 won't fit my Evod. The post is too large and won't go inside the center tube of the Evod tank.

So I'm confused now. Are the coils that came with my ProTank 2 an older style? Or is my Evod an older style and needs older style replacement coils?

Thanks for your help...I'm trying to figure this out before ordering any more replacement coils for my Evod.

I haven't tried but here's a thread where people have tried changing the posts to get it to work.

I've thought about that too..but am still curious as to what the heck is going on with these coils. I either have an old Evod that needs older style coils or a ProTank 2 that came with old coils and the new universal's have the smaller post.
