First off, I want to thank the community here. First post but have gained so much knowledge in my 6 months since putting down the cancer sticks.
My first tank was a Nautilus and got to say it's been amazing to me. Lately though I've been exploring getting a sub ohm tank. I dont want it for general daily use, but, for the occasional "at home" flavor boost.
Decided to go with the Kanger Subtank mini but had a question about the differnce in coils. With my Nautilus I went with the 1.8ohm coils. Better durability and taste.
Need user opinons on wether to go with the kanger prebuilt 0.5, 1.0 or 1.2. Looking for a good mix of flavor and durability here too.
Also, would like suggestions at best wattage to fire these at. Using an Istick 100w so got my bases covered there so I don't blow my lips off.

Im still new to the subtank and have both of your tanks. I have in my kanger sub a 1.5 coil and i like it alot. I like the mouth to lung hit and this hits the spot for me. I tried the 0.5 but for me it was to much air unless i pulled from the lungs and thats not for me. I have had it for almost 2 weeks and it still hits like the first day. In fairness though i rotate it with 2 others through the day. I also rinsed it with hot water once to change flavors and left to sit and dry up overnight and it bounced back great. I use it at the low end of the range i think, puffing around 13 to 15 watts

For casual mouth to lung vaping with lots of flavor, I'd recommend the 1.5 ohm coils. The 1.2's get too hot when vaping mtl. And I like to vape at low wattage (I use a .5 ohm coil at max 18 watts...). For recommended wattage, I don't like to give advice on that. It depends too much on your personal vaping preferences. Start low and work your way up slowly until you reach your sweet spot.

The Subtank mini gives a good range of options and the factory coils are rock solid. You can do normal Mtl with the regular coil and pop in the .5 if you feel like going sub ohm and also build your own with the included kit. I got mine with my Subox mini and picked up another to use on my Sigelei 75w TC. I also grabbed a nano as well. All have been fine and were a nice step up from my nautilus (which you can still use as well). Flavor and vapor have definitely been upgraded with the Subtank and it is nice to have the option to sub ohm with the same equipment as it is something I am just getting into.

As far as wattage, it depends on the juice. With the .5 coil there is some I vape at 30 to 35 watts, some at 40 and 1 in particular at 50 to 55 watts. I try to find the flavor peak for each juice and not the biggest cloud. Start low and work your way up to find the peak. For the standard coil start around 8 watts and keep increasing until you find the sweet spot. For the .5 I would start around 20 and work your way up from there.
