Hi, newbie here, I'm two weeks in. So the 510 manual is now a stealth vape. I haven't smoked an analog since I smoked the 510 two weeks ago, which was 3 days after I smoked my first disposable which was basically useless but I knew there was a way. Also the ex smoking anti tobacco lobby here hate them but i know who pays them. Started smoking aged 7, I'm 42. 2 or 3 packs a day. Don't ask.

I researched quickly, dripped the 510's, then chose the ego twist vv batteries and went for the kanger evod clearomisers. But quickly there was gurgling and leaking. So I loosened the battery from the evod. Made sure the coil was tight, Works fine. A bit of spit rage but no more than a tobacco pipe. Oh yeh I smoked anything, pipes, roll ups, large fuggin Cubans. Butts from ash trays or bins rolled up if i ran out. a child's habit. My lungs asbethos covering wore away. My lungs hurt every day for years. Lost both parents to tobacco. Buried my mum suddenly last Saturday. She was one of the reasons that I was researching this. Anyway... /rant

But it's annoying. I know they are two different makes (ego/kanger) but the battery forcing up the coil to cause leakage? ...!

My kanger evods have no logo or brand on them. Is this normal? I bought them from a site that is based here in ireland and who I have no problem with delivery or juice wise. The batteries are branded, yes on the twist so I think they are fine.

Any advice welcome. Also any other advice welcome about this switch.

A bit of perspective, I know nobody who vapes. When I was 8 I started my 10 year old and 6 year old brother smoking. They both still smoke. I've read all of the med Shiite on vaping. 2 weeks, I can breath again, my quality of life has drastically improved. I had a 510 stealth vape whilst carrying my mothers coffin from the church, fug it there were two priests burning Insense in those gold things that Catholics use, beside me. I'm sold.

I got the lingo from those odd utube reviews. The best is 'analogue' - it cracks me up.

*plays the best of the doors on his analogue.

I'm smoking about 12ml of 24 or high a day, I've not lost much juice to this issue due to being able to easily remove the coil. It's just awfully annoying.

12ml of 24mg juice?! That's 288mg! Using an absorption rate of 30% works out at 86mg per day. Even smoking 3 PAD of full strength cigs (UK & Ireland) you'd have only been getting something like 60mg a day!

I bought them off thebestshop.eu as its based in Galway (100 miles away). So next day delivery. Say about 7 bucks each. Are there forgeries out there?

There are some knock offs around, but those look genuine to me.

You didn't answer my other question (Post #4) - how tight are you screwing the EVODs onto the battery?

Not very tightly, it wobbles a tad which is my problem. I mean you have to try make the wobble. But it feels amateur. Yes i can rewick using the extra length of wick. sure i saw it on youtube. Haven't tried.

Look here's the money down, and thank you for being Interested. I need to get my brothers off the smokes. It's very personal. I know the 510 won't cut it, well maybe for the younger bloke as he probably owns 7 homemade er bongs. But the older fellow? Dripping? Don't tighten the battery? That Lacks.

It's good kit, but if I even touch the coil w the battey, so I'm a twist before even hand tight. gurgle, spit etc.

On the tobacco thing. Yeh I know. But then I'd smoke very quickly. So a cigarette in say 4 or 5 pulls. I think that started with banning smoking at work (2000) and pub smoking ban (2003). Pop outside the bar or work to smoke in an Irish winter. Lol. But I always smoked hard (don't ask).

The EVODs are a very solid tank. If you get yourself the whole EVOD kit, battery and all, it is probably the best vape you can get in that price range. The batteries that come with it are 4.2v so with your spinner you want to be somewhere around there. Most tank systems like that will start to gurgle when the voltage on the battery starts to drop. It will draw more liquid than it can vaporize causing it to leak. That can be solved by 'flicking' the liquid out and switching to a fresh battery. The standard resistance with those coils is 2.5 or 2.2 sometimes, so they work well with higher voltage.

Also, sometimes you just get a bad leaky coil. I have had that with the EVOD's right out of the package. Just threw in a new coil and boom.

As for your brothers, in the US, we can get EVOD 650 2 battery kits for around 50-70$ and that comes with 5 extra coils. They are priced right and definitely a workhorse!

EDIT: Also check the bottom of your battery for a JoyeTech logo stamp. Thats how you will know if its genuine joyetech. The vision spinners will say vision on them somewhere also.

Thanks Jason, the batteries have that logo on the face if the twist like I said (same shop), these can gurgle if I have a fresh battery, but I take your points.

I mean when it works I love what I have. I love the vv. I burn at between 4.0 and 4.2 depending, but as yet I only have 3 juices that I like. I got you know 10ml samplers and that.

I'm thinking of going DIY on the juice but am away next week to Portugal for 10 days. Fugg roll on dublin airport with my kit. Which is apparently ok but can't find out fugg all about Faro airport for the way back.

In fairness for me this is not a money issue as I spent quite a lot on tobacco and am where I am in about 250 euro in the time I would have smoked 300, and I have a pile of kit.

Thank you very much for your replies. If anyone else has advice about anything I'll be reading it.

Another thing to consider is the generic batteries can have issues with voltage. Where it may say 4.0v the output may actually be less. This would cause a higher resistance atomizer to pool with liquid from the jump. If money is not an issue, you plan to keep vaping, and you are not scared of VV devices, why not go with an APV like the VAMO or TESLA? I just went to a TESLA because of the problems with low voltage batteries and the liquid issues it would cause. Now I find myself on the opposite end of the spectrum having problems keeping my wicks moist because of the added power. Not a bad problem to have tho! :)

Oh I didn't happen upon the ego twist evod combo, in an unrelated forum when I said I got the 510, I got advice from someone who was a year and a good amount of cash in. But it was a one off reply by someone. Good advice though, when the combo with its quirks works, it's a decent smoke.

wait... what battery are you using that causes the problems?

These Joye eGo-C Twist VV Battery - The Best Shop Limited

But I think they are kosher. They have the appropriate logo, and charge to vape juice ratio.

My initial question was do kangers always come with a brand or logo printed in them as my kangers are unbranded ( same shop ) and if I screw my batteries even to the slightest 'oh it's tight now' I get gurgle. Yeh I've changed coils.

Bugger I wonder what's wrong so. It's such a nice set up. Its even aesthetic in a design way. Look thank you for your replies. Maybe I got a bad batch but I bought these two batteries, and 3 evods in two lots and its happening with all. One solution: wobble.

Such a nice smoke though. At the end of the day, I'm probably farther ahead than others on 15 days without tobacco.

I'd read a lot of threads here before I joined this evening. Lets face it google points here. I am aware that YouTube reviewers post here. And yes I am aware that some of the reviews are pants. But they are helpful if you average a few.

My name is Karl, and I don't smoke cigarettes any more. /fauxdrama.

Thanks for the prompt replies.

My Son in Law bought knock off batteries and tanks and has issues all along.
I learned from his mistake and made certain I got the real deal eGoC-Twists. I used to use the Kangertech T2 but I won't use plastic anymore.
So I switched to the Kangertech Pro-Tank and am a very happy camper ever since.
I was tipped off that the "old" version is still out there and is sold in a cardboard box. It has leaking issues and so on.
I made sure I got the new one in the very nice plastic shipping box which you will never use once you open it.
The rig is PERFECTR for me.
I burn anywhere between 3.6 and 4.4 depending and use 1.8ohm coils as they go "faster" than the supplied 2.4ohm which are fine too but I like my hit s quick.
Zap.

I strongly recommend DIY as you can save a boat load of money that way.
But beware of plastic eating E-juice flavors.
It is not the base liquid that eats plastic.
It is the solvent used to be the humidifier or carrier for some flavors, notably amaretto and maraschino cherry and some of the green apples and so on.
I avoid those like the plague and test all flavors on the burnable side of an old CD as it too is polycarbonate.

Stay with it mate. I too buried my Mother due to smoking. And I too smoked 2 packs a day or more for 30 years and started when I was 5.
If I can quit you can too.
You can DO IT!
