Kanger Evod cracking?

Yeah, that looks like it was caused by stress on the neck. The cracks that I are below the tank seal, where the metal tube seats. Those cracks... could be a lot of things... The plastic and tube could be stressed due to manufacturing, then add in the stress caused by the pressure seal...

Two out of my three evods show cracks in the same area, and I see similar breaks here... that the neck is also the point of failure on tanks that tried caustic juices tells me that it's just a design weakness and there isn't much we can do to avoid it... just hope you don't see a crack.

I'm going to be extra careful with my EVODs going forward and not chomp on them! LOL Will probably invest in a mini Protank (maybe when version 2 comes out?) so I can try some juices that are known to crack plastic tanks.

There are a TON of glass BCC tanks coming out... with the success of the Protank and eVod, everyone is joining in. By the beginning of August, there are going to be a few different options for small glass clearos... Davide, Smoketech, and some others to compete with the Kanger.

Definetly going to try the SMOK aro tank. The good thing about the evod is that it gives me a ton of vapor. I remebering reading something about not to over tighten the evod onto your ego. I have done that, still two of my EVOD's cracked today. I got them in a coop for 3 something each...so at least the cost is reasonable. Yet I like the 1.6ml but wish more BCC tanks were made of PYREX.

Well this is upsetting. I just ordered 4 Kanger evods and now I find out they are easy to crack.

Don't fret... like a lot of toppers, things are hit and miss. I think there might be some micro defects that pop up on some units in the seam near that mouthpiece. Not all though. The one I have that cracked was several months old I noticed the cracks...

I wouldn't worry about it.

I probably will be picking up the aero or mini Protank before any more evods though... I want the flexibility of the glass.
