Kanger Evod leaking where base meets tank?

I seem to be having trouble with some Kanger Evods leaking where the seal is between the base and the tank. As if maybe the seal isn't big enough to hold the liquid in. I use a 50/50 PG/VG and maybe a bit of distilled water for my liquids. At first I thought these things were as good as the Protanks, but now I'm not so sure. I see where others have trouble with different areas of an Evod leaking, but for me the trouble seems to be the actual tank seal. Any one else having the same trouble? What seals
can I get to fix this?

I'm pretty sure there should be an o-ring at the tip of that arrow. I don't have the greatest eyesight but I don't see an o-ring there. Did you remove it before taking the picture?

No its there. Just not the best detail for the pic.

Maybe just for fun put a couple rounds of teflon tape on the base with as little on the inside as possible or behind the oring. It might stop it from leaking.

Those rings might be messed up. Do they look frayed our misshapen? Like a blown gasket on an engine, if the o ring is junk, it'll be compromised.

How old is the eVod?

I've heard of that seal failing due to over tightening. Maybe that's what happened here?

One is a couple days old, the other is maybe 10 days.

I've made it a point to not tighten too much. Kinda like an oil filter should be. I'll keep messin with them. I may have overtightened at this point out of frustration though.

Another trick I read is put a couple loops of dental floss behind the o-ring, it works for driptips so why not a evod o-ring.

Put a little petroleum jelly around the O RING (seal at the base).

OK, I may have found the answer, the solution, the fix, the resolution, the remedy, ummm. You just take a razor and cut a very narrow piece off from a Cartomizer condom.
