i was looking for an entry level box mod and was looking at the istick 50w but i don`t like the idea of a sealed battery. i choose the kbox and got it a week ago and i`m happy with it. the LED`s showing the battery level are fine with me. the only thing i miss on this is an ohm checker but i have 2 other checkers so not a problem there. it seems very durable so i think it will service me for a long time to come. i already had 6 18650 batteries for my other mods and chargers so it was a no-brainer for me. with new " next generation" box mods coming out all the time i just wanted to start with something low end and i got this for 27.99 and i`m happy with it so far. YMMV

Just had one delivered and putting it through the paces (nearly used two tanks and a battery so far!)

Simple, but effective. Button seems nice. My other APV's all suffered from button issues. Whilst I've only had it five minutes in real terms, the button has really seemed good so far.

It's a cheap and cheerful device. Works flawlessly with my subtank with my own modest RBA build. Hits well and ticks the boxes for a cheap Mod that I don't mind bashing up.

I'm genuinely impressed for the money. Granted, it won't be to everyone's taste. but I generally vape on non kicked mechanicals, or an istick 50w which is generally set to 8w or 13w depending on how bad the day at work is going!

If you want no frills and cheap it is worth checking out for me at least. Feels pretty good in the hand and it's not offensive to look at. Finish is half decent and I don't actually mind the Kangertech cut out/venting option.

Is what it is, and does what it states it does (so far)

Lets see if the button holds up....

No charging via USB, which is a negative for some, but if you have a ton of 18650's and an external charger anyway then it's a good (cheap) option. Not so sure I'd be giving a thumbs up if I had to purchase 18650's and a charger for it, that call is yours really. I'd probably head for the istick 50w if I had no batteries and/or chargers to hand. Just my opinion, of course.

:D

Received a Kanger Kbox yesterday. I bought it not because I needed it, but because I was curious about a no-screen cheap mod. As one UK dealer had a very honest price on the Kbox, about 24 british pounds, I decided to buy one. I normally vape on Nautilus and Nautilus minis, on a Sx mini and Sig mini. I begun to vape years ago to come off tobacco and shortly turned into a "vape hobbyst" if this is the correct description for someone who owns too much vape gear.
First thing first: I believe it is incorrect to compare the kbox to any other "proper" mod, because it isn't. I would rather compare it to an advanced vape battery, just like the Aspire CF Mod, or the Innokin CLK!. The price is almost equal among the three devices I mentioned. Consider that any decent spinner battery is in the same price range, and an iStick mini (the 10W dwarf) is more expensive.
This said, the quality of vape of Kbox is at the level of Innokin MVP. Pure DC drive, buck-boost converter without PWM, efficiency around 95%. The only negative note is that there is a notable power loss produced by the steel spring in the tailcap above 20 W power level.
After being "burned" with the iSticks and Sigs sending mixed waveforms (because of PWM use) to the coils, any "proper" device using DC power is very welcome on my part... especially at this price point.
Second, the selection of power levels. It seems that somebody spent some time to find the correct "sweet spots" mostly used for vaping. On a Nautilus only the first three levels can be utilised, and they match almost exactly the levels I have in memory in my other mods. This "coincidence" made me devoid of need of fine adjustments, as they were already adjusted to my requirements. Now, how true this can be for everybody, I can't tell; but the power levels are chosen with a grain of salt, at least. And, BTW, the power indications are correct with a +-5% tolerance -from my measurements.
The semplicityb of the adjustment and the battery gauge has its attractiveness. Many persons with low sight will prefer the kbox because you don't have to wear glasses to see the screen (Like me). But it ended up in the drawer, why? Because I don't like to switch batteries. Think like a normal user, which is not an "hobbyst" but just needs the nic, and are the majority of vapers: he/she uses the same charger for everything, and don't take along spare 18650 and xtar charger in the morning. In my opinion, the biggest negative of the kbox is the lack of charging port, because it adds 30 pounds to the initial purchase, and force people to carry spares, and to screw-unscrew the tailcap - whose threads are not of excellent quality, and needs lubricant once in a while.
If kanger is reading this -please add a charging port!
Regards to All...
