This mods asks me "new atomizer?" Every time I put a tank on. All three tanks are subtanks and they all have the same coil with the same resistance rating. Do I need to hit "yes" everytime it asks me when I switch tanks even though all my coils are identical?

Yes. There's enough variation from coil to coil to throw off the temperature measurements, so it's just as well to acknowledge the different coil.

I'm using it only in wattage mode. It asks me new atomizor? Every time I switch tanks. All tanks have the same exact coil. Would pressing "no" when it asks be a bad idea for the mod even though I'm not using control mode and all coils are almost identical.

What mod are you using? I don't know why it's asking you if you're using wattage mode. However, is it any harder to say yes than no? If it's bothering to ask, I'd be inclined to tell it the truth. That said, I've never met a mod that asked that in wattage mode, so your question would be better answered by someone who knows more about it than I do. Hopefully someone will be along soon.

ETA: And I see now my first question was answered in the thread title.

I answer "yes" to new coil with every mod I have that asks no matter if its a new or old coil. Coils do change resistance with age, most times its very little but enough for the mod to notice. Its more important using TC mode to have accurate resistance setting thus being able to lock the resistance. Wattage mode it really doesn't matter as much about coil resistance accuracy cause kanthal is more forgiving than the other wire types. IMO its more of a precaution cause if you fire nickle or titanium wire in watt mode there is a chance of noxious fumes along with a coughing fit from the coil not being controlled by temperature and getting too hot. You can fire SS in wattage mode but it too can get mighty hot super fast if the temp is uncontrolled in wattage mode.

The day my mod starts asking me questions, I'm going to think I'm hallucinating :) That said, I'd probably answer yes for now, I do notice that even my store bought coils have a slightly different resistance, each, when I put them on my mod, and lots of variables may be at play as one uses the coil...

I don't understand why this would matter so much in watt mode either, but if you're really concerned about it, you could contact the manufacturer and try to get an answer regarding what to do/what this means? And, you are sure you aren't in TC mode?

I prefer my mod to quietly read my coil and tell me the resistance. This is helpful as I thought I bought some 1.8 coils and what showed up was 0.7, which I'm okay with.... So, knowing the resistance of your coil via the mod is actually useful at times... I'm not sure your situation is one of them, but I don't see how answering "yes" is all that big a deal? You could try a "no" answer and see if anything drastically changes with your vape, but I doubt it will...

That made me chuckle. It never occurred to me to say "no" ... less distance for my thumb to travel!
