on a side note, I have taken to rebuilding the old stock coils with verticals - took a couple tries to get it dialed in (there is a decent vid or two on youtube for it) but not really that difficult if you are into coil building - my first two successful attempts were a 1.2 ohm vert for my wife and a .7 ohm vert for myself - and since I was using coil heads I would have tossed anyway, seemed like a win-win
even if the lonk hadnt been removed, they are still the wrong coils. These are the old horzontal ones. The vertical ones are quite new!

I have tried everywhere, amazon (old stock horizontal) , I'm new to vaping and have got the subox mini which comes with the new vertical coils, I was just browsing for replacement parts and as of yet cant find anything, O rings , coils, spare tank , glass, I know I can buy a different tank but this kind of spoils the look of the subox, I could use different coils but being new Id rather take baby steps than start messing with RBA's ect. I would rebuild old stock heads but really don't want to buy heads just to strip them to rebuild them, Just for anyone looking the new coils are 0.5 ohms / 15 - 50w , I have seen tons of the old occ heads you can tell the difference straight away, the old occ coils are rated 15-30w

Get the standard OCCs from China for £1.30 each. Maybe the difference is when vaping higher watts (??).... so if you are vaping over 30w then ignore me.

from what I have seen its all about the amount of flavor you can get from the new verticals , seeing as there is less restriction in air flow + the higher wattage it can push, and now that I'm used to the verticals , I really don't want to be disappointed going back in time if that makes sense
I have yet to use the new style in my Kbox and SubBox so can't attest to the difference.
But, IF they are "better", then I can't wait to try them as the old style was quite pleasing to me personally as they were.
Have some Ni200 coming in as well as another black STM to use in TC on the SX Mini and looking forward to that.
P.s. I typically use 50/50 mix Liquids and find 22W to be just right for Flavor, Temp, and Volume using the STMs on the Kanger Boxes.
But, IF they are "better", then I can't wait to try them as the old style was quite pleasing to me personally as they were.

don't believe those fit the subank (though they work in some other kanger tanks)

I have just managed to get the new 1.5ohm vertical variety in the UK and so far I love them very much indeed (I've used them with the original subtank mini and the subtank plus). I'm afraid I haven't seen a uk supplier of the 0.5ohm ones with any stock yet.
I am new to the forum and am not totally familiar with all the rules yet (just read them, sinking in) so I don't really want to start posting links to suppliers, at least not yet.
The best photos online also seem to be from the online stores that sell them. If you google the following phrase you will find some suppliers and photos, although beware some other results that are the older (non-vertical) coils :

The photo depicts both the 0.5 and 1.5 versions, though they only have the 1.5 listed there.
Also it's a shame kanger didn't write the word vertical on the packaging somewhere.

yep those are the new shape with the deeper side wick holes, only place I have found them is in the US nothing even close to the eu, guess ill just have to wait
