Kanger Pro-Tank 3 Mini - Battery, coils, burning juice fast?

Hello,

I just got started vaping and had been using a simple kit that I purchased from Beyond Vape, a 650mah standard (no controls) battery, Aspire Nova tank, and 1.6ohm Aspire coils.


After a friends recommendation I went out and purchased a Kanger Pro Tank 3 Mini that came with a 1.5 ohm coil. It works great, even with my simple battery, but I notice the my VG juice is burning through way more quickly. Is this normal? I was considering buying Kanger's battery but it looks like it's basically the same thing as I have now.

They also have several coil ohm options. Maybe I consider getting a different one? Figured the one that came with would work though....

I'm vaping only Velvet Cloud 100% Organic VG and like the heavy vape. It seems this Pro Tank gives a bit better hit but at the loss of juice.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

hi jslost, it is normal to go through more liquid with the protank as that is what's responsible for the better hit. I liked the lower ohm coil options in my mini protank 3, the higher ohms don't put out as much vapor.

Thanks Rick. So, do the lower ohm coils last longer, or shorter?

Also, the guy I bought the tank from was adamant that I was making a mistake using the protank 3 with my basic battery. In short, he told me it was a mistake and that i needed one with variable control. Not knowing if he was simply trying to sell me a new battery I opted against it. I'm curious if anyone has any thoughts on this.

Variable voltage is definitely a step up from a basic ego battery. However, at this point if you were looking to step up I would recommend you take an even bigger step and consider an MVP v2 (small box mod).

1. Huge (2600 mah) battery
2. Variable Voltage - Voltage can be adjusted from 3.3 ~ 5.0 in 0.1 volt increments
3. Variable Wattage - Wattage can be adjusted from 6.0 ~ 11.0 in 0.5 watt increments
4. Ohms Meter - Reads the resistance of your atomizer

I use all my mini Protanks and Protank v2 on my MVP's I also upgraded them with the addition of an airflow control base. More air, more vapor, more power.

Thanks for the reply. I keep mine in my pocket frequently and need to keep it small and discreet so the larger ones aren't going to work for me as a daily "vaper".
