Hi, I have been looking for a new (bigger) tank for my e-cig, I'm not a heavy vapor. Just starting out.

My current setup:
eleaf iStick 20W
Kanger ProTank Mini 3 (1.5 ml DualCoil)

I have been looking at the "KangerTech Protank 3". I pretty much have my heart set on it. However, I have noticed many different versions of this item.

Some websites advertised this as "v1" or "v2" or "dual coil" on the box, and show different coils and designs, yet it is meant to be the same item??

How do I know which one is genuine before I buy??

Many Thanks, Chris.

This is the wrong sub-forum for this post, but I'll answer due to having plenty of experience with these tanks. V1 coils were single coil. V2 coils are dual coils. Some V2 go down to 0.8ohms. They're good tanks, and these appear authentic.

Now, after answering that, I would suggest a Kanger GeniTank instead. They use the same coils, but offer more options for air flow. You can go as tight as the Protank, or open it up for a looser, more airy draw. These aren't sub-ohm tanks, but a more airy option to the basic Kanger line. Pricing would be about the same. I bought one for my wife at the beginning of the year, and she loved it so much, I was forced to buy a couple more for her.

PT v1 didn't have removable drip tip and you couldn't take the tank apart for cleaning, v2 has removable drip tip and you can take the tank apart, v3 is the dual coil. You can use an aero base on any of them for air flow control. Or you could just get an aerotank or genitank as string said. If you want another option for a good low maintenance tank try the gs air line of tanks.
