Hello Everyone!

I've got a strange problem. My new manger pro-tank mini 3 isn't vaping as I had hoped. I consistently get a bad taste; not necessarily burnt but just bad. I am using an istick eleaf set at 5-6 watts. My buddy showed me a trick a while ago that temporarily works. I unscrew the bottom a bit and air bubbles seep to the top of the tank. I'm assuming those bubbles are from within the coil. After I do this it takes 5 or so puffs for the taste to be complete .... again.

Hoping for any help!

Thanks

Depending on the amount you vape and the composition of the juice, most PT3 heads will have a lifespan of about a week. This can sometimes be extended by rinsing the head and wick regularly, but sooner or later the the flavor and vapor production will drop. PT3 heads can also be re-wicked (Stop throwing away your protank coils – ITCVapes) or even rebuilt (search youtube for "rebuilding kanger coil"), but that may require more effort than you are willing to expend at this point (although it's very inexpensive and easy once you get the hang of it).

No matter what approach you decide to take, I wish you success. Don't hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.

Are you giving the juice a chance to wick through the coil? It may take a few minutes for the juice to wick properly through a new coil. A few primer puffs (without firing) will also help. The same is true if you vape very heavily or draw very hard and short when you take a drag. The draw technique for vaping is different than with a cigarette--more like a pipe, if that helps. Your iStick measures the duration you hold the firing button down; it's not uncommon to have 5 or 6 seconds for a vape puff.
