I have been searching and searching for a solution to an issue I've been having with my protank 2. I am not able to get any draw without loosening the tank until the point it's almost falling off (with any of my batteries). If you look closely at the airholes in the pictures below you can see mine has some quality control issues. The holes are located on the threading and the screw head is smaller than usual. Will be returning this tomorrow.

Hope this helps anyone looking for an answer to a protank 2 draw issue! Sometimes you just happen to get a dud!

Your not the only one. Kanger has had some QC issues in the last year (multiple threads here, friends stating the same thing).

I would highly suggest purchasing the replacement bases that have the Aero design with adjustable air-flow ring. Sun-Vapers.com is where I purchased mine (limit 2 per on-line purchase). More on-line vendors are starting to carry them. I told my local B&M about them, and they are trying to get them in local stock.

It's a night and day difference. I only purchased 2, and now I only use 2 of the 4 PT2 tanks I purchased. I'll get the 2 other Aero base replacements at a later date. I'm playing with cartos now, so that keeps me busy.

Here's a direct link: KangerTech AeroTank Base - Sun-Vapers.com

No air on my provari. Drilled out the airholes on the 510 connector - no help. Filed out the air channels a little bit -- no help. Made a shim out of a piece of plastic from a credit card and placed it on the 510 connector. Good air but no firing because the pos pin didn't make contact. Disassembled, cleaned, re-assembled and moved the pos pin out a little bit. Worked until the pos pin moved back up. The topper is sitting in my emergency/junk box. Probably order a new Aero base for it so the money I spent on the tank won't be a complete waste!

When you purchased your ProTank 2 how was it packaged? The reason I ask is that your photo of the base doesn't look like my Kanger ProTank2 base.

I have one that I've used on my ProTank II's and Davide's. I notice a very slight tilt to one side and it does add 1/4" to heighth. I've found to cut the airyness of both types of tank that if I cut a tiny sliver of masking tape to cover 2 holes on the PT's and 1 hole on the Davide, it solves that problem. No, the tape didn't bind up when screwing the tank on the PV.

I've been using the Tatroe base on the mini's of both tanks which have been wonderful to use. It only has one hole the size of a Davide base which is larger than those on the PT. Also, the Tatroe base for the mini "cuts" the heighth by about 1/2"!

I've found that some companies sell the replaceable atomizers for tanks such as the vivi as protank atomizers, and there is a diameter difference on the contact point. If I get the wrong atomizer, I have serious draw issues. Take a look at atomizers that work well and those that do not. there may be a slight diameter difference, which I have found interferes with the airflow.
