i agree with yoda, also i went with the removal of flavor wicks for a while, but it would flood. back to using them. I rebuild with 2.5mm silica and 32ga kanthol 5 wraps 1.9-2.5ohms.

Yeah, I was tearing my hair out trying to figure out why my PT1's were fine and my brand new PT2's weren't working. I had no draw unless the tanks were loose enough to wobble, but then they would E-1 on my Provari indicating a short. It was when I tried changing the included heads for some spares I had lying around that I noticed the draw was starting to come back.

I have airflow troubles on the Protank II with almost all my mods. Doesn't seem to work to well with my ego, sigeli, and chi you clone.

I was having problems with it with my nemmy at first but works perfectly after I adjust the air control on it.

Takes a lot of tweaking to get it to work well with my chi you..

Been using a eVic and SID and haven't had airflow problems.

I had airflow problems with my Protank 1's on both of my mech mods. Nothing a drill with my smallest bit couldn't handle, though to make it a lot easier to fiddle with I did throw an ego to 510 adapter onto my V3 Sentinal clone with a beauty cone, and drilled out both the adapter and cone for more air. I also expanded the airholes in the bases of the Protanks. Worked great and no complaints now. I did order a few airflow controllers from Tropical Vapors, and will see if they improve the situation any once they arrive. The tops of both my KTS Storm and V3 Sentinal clone (all brass) seem to be made in a way that the Protanks sit flush on them and restrict the airflow completely.

Also replace the flavor wicks in all my Protank heats with 6 strands of Peaches and Creme cotton yarn and no flood/gurgle problems and amazing taste too.

I have two Mini Protanks that see regular rotation; is there any point to getting this if I don't need additional tank capacity? I'm getting some flavors in from MBV and while I'd rather vape them in an iClear 30 for the taste, all of them can potentially crack the tank. I know I can re-wick for improved flavor, but seeing as all Protanks use the same head, the advantages to a Protank 2 beyond capacity and aesthetics are not obvious to me. Can anyone chime in?

I currently have 2 protanks and 2 protank 2s and love them. No airflow problems on my vamo, provari mini, or my new mvp v2. As for dry hits, I do the same thing to each head. Wash with hot water fill tank vape. If dry hits I turn over take coil out take one wick off, vape again if still dry take other out, if leaky put half of the other one and put back in. I vape either 70/30 or 60/40 vg/pg so they are great with either one or one and a half. Each juice is different but once u have it right it's great. Rebuilt a couple but difference just wasn't worth the time. Good luck and btw been using the Dbox puritank and wow draw is great and it holds 4ml. That and the mvp is two full days of vaping goodness.

I don't know if this is a dead issue, but I feel like I am cursed with my itaste mvp and pt2 setup. I have had this exact same issue. I tried turning voltage down and removing flavor weeks, 1 or 2... I am burning up coils from all of these dry hits I keep having. I think I pin pointed the issue but I have no idea why it's happening. After a few hits or so a dry hit happens. As soon as I notice a slight burnt taste, Ill blow into my protank 2 (lips around mouth piece). This seems to push out bubbles that are getting stuck to the wicks. I take another hit and it tastes fine. It appears that these bubbles are forming for some reason and attaching to the wick on the coil. Once I blow it detaches them, allowing the fluid to absorb. I tried some thinner flavors and it appears to fix the problem. But I am still trying my other options. Maybe try that and it might help. If I can't solve it I may just get another tank. I don't know. I love it when it works though.

Just started using a protank 2. It's spitting when I get the watts around 7-8. Not so much of a problem below that watt range. Listening to it, while is sizzles the is no spitting, but any crackle or pop and I get tiny drops of juice spitting into my mouth. Vape is not thick enough and I'm not getting enough throat hit until I up the watts. How can I get a satisfying vapor without any spitting?

Okay I want to help with problems I encountered with the kanger protank 2:

1st issue: horrible leaking into my mouth
Fixed: I was using a 50/50 mix, when I switched to 80/20 it worked perfectly fine.

2nd issue: when I pulled, nothing, no vapor
Fixed: I was screwing the protank too tight onto my kamry kts+, I unscrewed it so i can see a gap between the two parts and my airflow issue is fixed.

You would think that the air holes would work correctly and that issue wouldnt even exist but alas...

I seem to have an issue with my protank often too. With the stock replacement heads they are very airy on my vamo at first at 6.5 w, then after about a week or so it gets very tight and I have to bump up to 8-9w. Is there something wrong with replacement heads? I just purchased a AGA T2 and some accessories and going to try a rebuildable. I was getting tired of all the problems with the protank.

I find vaping above 6w with protank2... 1.8 or 2.2ohm coils, cooks alot of juices. Makes them thicker and stickier and then they clog up the wicks and coils. Higher wattage is rarely required on protank2. It's a cooler vape because of the bottom feed coil. Which some people dont like. But as a negative, it heats all the juice in the tank if you have the power up that high. If you like a warmer vape.. get a top feed delivery system. That might get your wattage down, still give a warmer vape, avoid cooking a tank full of juice and maybe prolong the life of your coil?

Just my opinion. I'm new to this.

I use a Protank II on an eVod 1100 and a eGo Twist clone. On both batteries, if i screw it in flush i have very little air. To fix this, I usually screw it into just where it makes battery contact, and then run the trim ring up to meet the Protank. This creates enough gap to give good airflow, and "locks" the tank in place.
