I just decided to pull out my old kanger protank 2 on a smok variable voltage battery and build a coil. It was a stance experience. I built a few 6 wrap 28 gauge coils, they fired a bit but then something would happen and they wouldn't work. Now I build a 12 wrap 28 gauge build on it and it rips! I drilled out the 3 holes to 8/64 and it's great, one thing I can't figure out is I can't have it fully screwed on(the tank doesn't leak just the part where the battery connects with the atomizer doesn't screw on all the way) anyways, this is great and I'm loving it!

Idk what ohms I'm at but it Preforms well the surface area is perfect. I'll try that 30 gauge soon. I use somewhere between an 18-22 gauge needle
The 28 guage is pretty large for the grommet and pin at the bottom. 30g works fine, but i jad good luck with a 32g twisted, 10 wrap, 1.8ohm. Forgot the dia, the biggest i could reasonably fit!
I've been playing with a very similar maybe identical atty. Bought a $7.95 evod blister kit from MFS just for fun. Original wick was trash, couldn't even prime it, juice just sat there didn't soak in at all. Rebuilt with KGD kanthal @ 2 ohm was vaping pretty nice.
Yesterday I rebuilt again with a vertical coil came in @ 2.3 ohm. This evod is now a vaping little BEAST! Can't wait to twist a 1.8 ohm for it.

I bought a few of those MFS evod kits with the Ijoy vv clicker battery. Love the little batteries. Yep the coil that comes in the Evod clone sucks, but rebuids ok.
I got 4 of those blister packs for 50% off a while back. I pifed most of them to beginners.
if you enlarge the wick slots to 2 mm and put a horizontal 2mm 1.6 ohm 30 gauge with cotton in there and bore out the base airholes and the pin and chimney they vape nice.
Yeah, I opened the air holes and positive pin to 1/16". Ran my drill bit straight thru the atty to mount the vertical coil. Reassembled the entire atty with the drill bit holding the coil in place.
On one T3 base I enlarged the base air holes to 7/64. Made a difference esp on some batteries. the air does not get in as well on the Zmax as on the 650 Ma VV evods. It does now

I gott the aerobase and drilled out the air holes, now air comes through the side of the base, no more ego air slots.
I always drilled everything that flows air out to max dia. That with widening the wick slot a bit makes it a little beast.
OP, i you want, I'm sure i got some extra bases if you'd like, op gets first dibs, after that, i got a couple extrs aero bases...
