This is new. I have a fogger and have built coils of varying resistance with no issues. I purchase a Russian 91 and build an 8/9 wrap Microcoil on 28 gauge kanthal using a 5/64 drill bit. I tie it down to the posts and doesn't appear that anything is overlapping but it won't read resistance on my ohm reader or provari. The provari displays OP. Any ideas? Done two coils now and the same thing happens.

That's Def the problem however by tightening the positive post so the positive block doesn't slide around, the center on on goes too far in so it's not making connection. No idea how to fix that

There are two screws inside the center post. One longer to tighten down the block and the second smaller one is for adjustability.Make sure you tighten the longer one down without the smaller one, then screw in the smaller one and adjust for connection.
