I just received my brand new Kanger Protank (in the new cardboard packing) in the mail. I go to thread it on my mechanical and the threads won't even catch. The 510 threading area is too narrow to even catch on. A hotdog down a hallway effect if you will. I play around with the adjustable center pin on my mech, still nothing. Try it on my vamo, nope. The 510 connection still moves in and out of the connector on the vamo freely. The only thing it will thread on is my 510-Ego connector which, in my opinion, defeats the whole purpose of Kanger putting a 510 connection instead of an Ego connection on these things.

I will be contacting the vendor to see what we can do with this, but has anyone else had this problem?

I just received two new ones today and they work perfectly. It sounds like you got a defective unit
I see in another thread that you got yours from the same vendor I did. I'm glad to see that yours are working well and it's not Kanger trying to unload all of their crappy units onto an unsuspecting vendor. It wouldn't be the first time I've seen that happen with other vendors and a different carto company.

In any event, I contacted the vendor and I have a new one coming my way but it just baffles me that the 510 connector didn't even try to screw onto anything I own except for the 510-ego adapter.
