the gurgling means it is flooding which can be caused by 1. drawing too hard when you are taking a vape and pulling in too much liquid for it to vaporize, B. you are laying it on its side when it about 1/4 full which lets it over wick due to no vacuum in the tank, or III. the coil is getting gunked up and not working too its fullest potential (in which case you need to call the coil McFly because its a SLACKER)

A couple additional tips on gurgling ProTanks:
a) Check that the coil is screwed in finger-tight
b) Clear juice from the airtube (pipecleaner, or blow through, or something - while the bottom/coil are off
c) Increase the voltage a leeeetle bit

MOST likely are what Dakota said - low tank and/or weak coil lead to gurgles...

Hi, I recently purchased a ProtankII, but it seems to be gurgling sometimes, and I was wondering what might be the cause.

Thanks

Only time I've ever had a Protank flood was too little wick on a rebuild and once with a loose head. Once I got that figured out it's been smooth vaping. If you didn't mess with the wicking I unfortunately will be of no help. My iClear 30 on the other hand... I'll never own another.

In my experience so far, the heads work good for 1 day, then you start to get leaking; the leaking leaves eliquid flooding the coil can causing gurgling.

I tilt the tank to unflood the coil; that tend to send eliquid down through the mouthpiece.

Cerruntly experimenting with replacing the flavor wicks with cotton wicks. Just messsed up 1 more coil in the process.

The protanks do have a reputation for leaking;

the leakings problem seems to be related to the size.

Apparently the mini protank does not have the problem (I suppose the leak on the mini is to small too cause a problem)

Apart from the protank bottom coil tank, other bottom coil pyrex tanks are the Davides: the Anyvape Davide and the Aspire Davide; and then there is the Smoktech ARO BCC.
