protank gurgling

Hi all..I have a protank clone and no matter what coils I put in it, it gurgles and pulls liquid through the tube..I even bought geniune kanger coils for it with no luck..I change the coil fill my tank and half way through the tankful it starts gurgling and pulling liquid through..any ideas on what is causing this and how I can stop it from happening..it doesn't happen with my t3, gs-h2 or eonsmoke tanks..only the protanks..I'm using 1.8 ohms and an 1100 ego battery..thanks

make sure its all fitting properly together and sealing.
Many times in my mini protank 2 it would start gargling, I would turn it upside down so the wick/cotten wouldn't keep sucking juice through, and fire it up several times, it would eventually vape out all the extra and start working properly again.
Sometimes while doing that I would blow into it very hard and push some liquid out through the air holes at the bottom to help it along as well.

This usually fixed the problem.

If not you may have a bad clone.

PT's do seem to have a gurgle issue sometimes when less than half full. You can try keeping it topped off, or if you're real ambitious, re-wick with cotton. I always had much less problems when wicked with cotton for some reason.

I had that problem also, but solved the issue with using a another rubber gasket upside down on top of the original one on the post.. There seems to be a gap that leaves the juice go into the middle part.. Hope this helps solve your problem like it did mine..

The PT uses the same coil basically as the Evod.

I've read a .... ton of Evod posts. Yes, the double gasket idea was mentioned there for leakyVods.

It also seemed to be the general consensus that most, if not all of the leaky Evods were non-Kantertech products. (Clones)

The gurgling and popping is easy to minimize if you rebuild the coils with thicker wicking.

Sounds like maybe a Protank 3 clone and you're trying to use original single coils instead of the larger dual units.

Hi..thanks for all the suggestions..i will try them to see how they work..it was working good til my coil went..when I replaced the coil the problems started..problem with keeping the tank half full is that I'm not an ADV type of person..I can't vape just one flavor all day..maybe i am weird but I use a different flavor everytime my tank gets empty..so if I was to keep it full I couldn't change flavors..when I went to change the coil it broke in half and I noticed the wick was burnt black in the middle..I tried to pull the wick out but it wouldn't come and I couldn't figure out how to put it back together..so I don't think rewicking is gonna work for me..since I noticed it was burnt I figured maybe I can't use the 1.8 coils if they are burning the wick..so I replaced it with a 2.2 ohm coil. It seems to be working now..I also don't think it's a seal problem because when I unscrew the base to replace the coil or add new liquid I hear a popping sound like you hear when you open a new jar..but I will try putting on a second seal if I have the problem again..I don't have any problems with leaking other then all the liquid coming out of the tube when I turn it upside down..I have to cover the tip with a paper towel or I get liquid dripping out all over my hands..I have tons of other tanks I could use to avoid this problem but I just like using the protank..can somebody explain to me what the different ohms are for and what's the best one to use?

Hi..I tried putting another gasket upside down on top of the other one and it seemed to work..only thing is the gasket attached itself to the tank tube but it still works...thanks for the suggestion..

This would likely make a mess. I normally just pull the tip off, roll up a Kleenex or paper towel real tight and run it down the middle tube to soak up the extra juice. If that doesn't work, pull it apart, wash it out and try again.

Don't over tighten, just barely compress the gaskets. Upper part you want tighter so it doesn't come apart when you take the bottom lose.

It won't hurt being stuck on the center post. You can always take a small pick and gently pull it off if you want. It has happened to me and unless I am going to be cleaning it really good I just leave it there..

For me, OVER sucking probably floods my Evod more than anything else.

THE Quickie Fix for a flood is to Firmly grasp the unit and give it a good forceful downwards shake, tip down. The flood will
clear out the from the tip. (Watch where you shake, you'll probably stripe a couple few of juice.)

On a stock coil, the flavor wicks Should Stop most of the splash up that happens. You may hear it pop and sizzle the juice
but all the juice should stay inside.

On my rebuild Evod coils with 3 mm silica, it Can still make a pretty loud crackle of juice burning and still not splash up the
tube.
