I've had it a little less than a week, no leaking issues just not wicking "fast" enough I suppose, I can take a few hits then I start getting burnt tastes, the only way to get it to wick right is to blow through the mouthpiece while it's attached to the battery which disrupts the vacuum in the tank enough to make it wick juice onto the coil. Any suggestions?

There are some tricks like upending the rubber gasket that covers the wicks and/or removing the flavor wicks.

Ultimately what I've found is that the wicking in protanks seem to labor under juices with a higher vg content, i.e. higher viscosity. 80pg/20vg works great. 65/35 is probably the sweet spot for me although I have to be much more careful when choosing my wattage. 50/50 is where it starts to get problematic because it seems like the juice takes a long time to wick and can't be hit at a higher wattage.

I had to take out one wick to make my protank 2 work decently. when i first got it I thought it was a waste of money and pile of dodo, but taking out a wick made all the difference. I can now do several pulls in a row without waiting a few minutes for the juice to catch up. With all the wicks in place I was lucky to get two pulls before a burnt taste. no more burnt taste and a lot more vapor with the wick removed!

The stock could seem to be wicking slow for me as well. I haven't tried removing the any of the wicks yet which should do the trick but just for the hell of it I re-did one of them with a microcoil. I used less of of the wicking material and the performance seems to be improved. I'd say go ahead and take half of the top wick out, see if this makes a difference.

top wick does make a difference.....i vape 50/50 and i have to take it out......also when you rebuild it whenever you do just make it a little smaller......i use 2mm in the coil with 1mm on top.....works like a charm for me and my juices

This makes total sense to me. My 50/50 juices wick better with one of the flavor wicks removed.
