Kanger PT3 vs EMOW

Hey guys. I just ordered a Kanger EMOW clearomizer. My only question is what is the main differences between that and the Protank Mini 3? I was debating between the two, and so I was curious.

The EMOW looks like it has more airflow, but I see a lot of people on here saying they use the PT3. They're both dual coil so I was just wondering what the differences were.

Like is one better than the other overall? Or do they both do different things better?

I haven't used both, but I'm enjoying my Mini PT3s. I see a lot of people complain that the PT3s don't have adjustable airflow. (I'd guess the EMOW doesn't either) I know you can get airflow adjusters for the Mini PT3s though, not sure if that's true for the EMOWs.

How big is the EMOW compared to the Mini PT3? I guess I shouldn't complain about the size of a Mini but my one disappointment is that they were even smaller than I imagined. I got 3 tanks so I can change flavors often, but if you're just vaping one flavor one tank on the Mini doesn't last very long.

I have not tried the protanks. I started with the emow in kit version several weeks ago after finding the blu things had zero hope of replacing smoking for me. I've been really impressed with them, enough to buy several more in the regular and mega sizes that I share with a family member trying to switch with me. We wanted various devices, both for different flavors and for use in different locations because neither of us are all that good at remembering to carry the things with us yet. All the mow tanks we have do have adjustable airflow, like the base, second from left in this picture (which is simply the first good example image I found when using Google's image search - I don't know anything about the company hosting that.) You twist a ring to choose how many of five holes are open, with each hole being ... they look to be something between 1 and 2 mm diameter each. I find one hole open is a noticeably tighter draw than what I was used to with filtered cigarettes. 2-3 holes open was the closest match to cigarette draw I found, leaving 4-5 holes open feeling very wide open and airy to me (although I doubt vapers used to dripping attys would agree, but I've not tried those yet.)

When deciding to buy more of these mows vs. other tanks, I kept coming back to mows because they were a glass tank ("Yay, I can see how much is left in there without worrying about what chemicals in juice don't play well with what chemicals in various kinds of plastic!") with a seemingly sturdy metal cage/wrapper/protector ("Yay, I don't have to worry quite so much that we'll break these when they invariably get knocked over and dropped!") The other tanks I looked at online, including variations of Aerotanks, Protanks, and something called Genitanks IIRC, left me nervous about lack of juice level visibility, plastic, lack of glass protection, and/or lack of airflow control functionality. We did get one mini Aerotank with airflow control, like this one, but I like the way the AFC works on the mow tanks more because it feels like a wider range of airflow options. My one gripe about the mow version of AFC is that, while not what I'd call loose, it is pretty easy to spin that AFC ring when taking the tank off the battery or when taking the base off to refill or change the core. Once it's all put back together, I found it's possible to accidentally unscrew either the ego/510 threads attaching it to the battery or the threads attaching base to tank when I'm trying only to adjust the AFC ring. It's far from a deal breaker, one of those "just takes practice" things. When I bought the first kit at a local B&M, the guy there advised I try to make a habit of inverting the tank before working on any twisting just in case I unscrew the wrong thing. That was good advice, and it took me less than two tanks of juice spilled to learn the lesson for myself the hard way. :p

Kanger mini PT3 is a terrible clearomiser.

Therefore, I conclude (given lots of positive comments in the UK) the MOW must be better.

I have over 20 clearomisers, of which there are two I never use. MPT3 and iClear30.

Some ideas are best left in the brain or on paper.

(ooh, that was a burst of sarcasm...I'll stop now) :)

You made the right choice.

Kanger atomizers, whether single or dual coil are both garbage. Do yourself a favor, take one apart and learn how to do a micro-coil and cotton build (the silica they use is also garbage). Increase the airflow for more vapor production. a 3/32" drill bit does nicely. It's not cigarette combustion, so you have to un-learn what you've been accustomed to.

Both your palate and your wallet will thank you. Those little blister packs of atomizers aren't cheap, especially for such low-quality builds. This guy does a decent enough job showing how they're pulled apart: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JJQ_8-vmneE

I have an EMOW Mega, and a few PT 2 and the EMOW is better.

Totally agree re the stock coils. With the EMOW I would suggest getting the new upgraded enclosed dual coils and strip them down and build a vertical micro coil, wick with Japanese cotton and you will be blown away.

Here is a thread I did the other day on how to put a vertical coil in these new enclosed heads.
