I am fed up with it. I bought the Subtank Mini, and the OCCs work great when I run them around 15 watts. So i figured I would try the rba

I have used the 2 coils that came (one pre-installed, one extra)
I have used the cotton that came with and some organic cotton balls
I have tried all airflow settings
I have tried multiple cotton suggestions and tutorial videos
I have loosened the sleeve and tank slightly as suggested
I filed out a little slot at the base of the sleeve where it meets the channels. (maybe i should go higher to where it meets the deck?)

Seems no matter what I do, after the initial couple of puffs of saturation , i will get nothing but dry and burnt hits. Right now my throat is killing me because i have torn it down and rewicked it atleast 5 times tonite alone and still no improvement.

The only other thing i havnt done, and was a little worried about doing, is making the channels bigger. Am I doing something wrong?

What I do to clear the juice channel is stick a piece of kanthal through the channel, starting at the bottom.. This must be done with the barrel on and the pin unscrewed from the base.. Play around with it so there's a clear gap. Also, don't use too much cotton. It can't be super tight going through the coil.. Let me know if this helps.

Funny, every other thread states that thick/chunky wicks work the best ....but only if the tails are cut right at the deck (or just off the deck for thicker juices) as well as clearing the cotton away from the juice channel after initial soaking.

This is the way I wick mine also. I change my cotton about every 2-3 days. Never a dry hit. Don't give up on this tank, because once you "get it" with the RBA, you won't want to vape any other way.

I'm having the same problem I'm sick of all these junk products coming out. I've found that with the rba it doesn't matter how u wick it, it will not work good above 50/50 juice. I just spent 3 hours, 3 coils and 6 wick jobs later with 70/30 and after 2 hits it's just dry and crappy. So I'm gonna stick with 50/50 but it's a sham because this is supposed to be a sub ohm tank, and they still expect you to use high pg juice? Done with kanger products for good this time, should have learned my lesson after the last 5 tanks from them.

What type of e-Liquid are you using? High VG?

When I got mine, I looked at the size of the Holes on the OOC Heads verses the size of the Slots in the RBA Head and went "No Way".

I filed them a Tad Bigger before I did my First Fill.

I also Added a Few Drops of Water to my e-Liquid. Because my DIY was a Tad Thick.

In my experience, and this is my experience only... When I use a "chunky" amount of cotton, I get nothing but flooding.. resulting in juice spitting through the chamber. I try and keep it as fluffy as possible, but without being super tight in the coil. This mutes the flavor significantly. I by no means have this perfected. It can be pretty frustrating, but when i get it right it's an amazing vape. I can't even vape the occ coils anymore because it is so far from the quality of the well-built rba section.
