Kanger Subtank and Vaporshark

Got the Kanger Subtank and my Vaporshark rdna40...
For some reason I keep getting "Check Atomizer" however when I put on the base plate it works.. why? (it did work previously without that extra base plate)

Anyone getting the same issue?

What do you mean by the "extra base plate"?

I don't see how you can use the device without it fully assembled..

Probably the beauty ring (extra base plate). I don't know if there is a floating pin on it or not (VS dna 40) but you could see if it does and back it own a little due to the fact the Subtank has a floating pin. I don't know if floating pin to floating pin works but could be the case.

Thanks. That's what i mean. I did use it before without the beauty ring, switched to Kayfun 4 for a couple days and now when i try to use my kanger subtank i get the "check atomizer" without the beauty ring.
Since the kanger subtank is quite long, large, and heavy... im trying to reduce the length and weight without it.

anyone know of any ways to go around this without that beauty ring?

Are you using the RBA deck or the stock OCC? If the RBA deck, I had a similar issue and rebuilt my coil 4 times until I got it to work. I think something was jacked up at either the positive or negative post but for some reason she just started to work out of the blue...

yes RBA deck...those 4x what did you do diff to get it to work?

The pin on the base does not float - it's fixed. Seems like the floating pin on the subtank is not mating properly with the Vaporshark. Is the pin on the subtank pushed in or stuck?...what about the pin on your mod? Seems like one or the other may not be working properly (floating).

I know, not much help.

I've just been having the same problem with the Subtank. I found my problem was that the spring loaded brass pin wasn't making connection to the interior connection point because the insulator in the 510 was holding the brass part from making the connection it needed. A thinner, softer insulator did the trick, by thinner I mean thinner at the stop point for the spring loaded brass pin.

Since these are considered clearomizers, sub-tanks will be moved to this forum to keep all information in one place, and not scattered amongst RTA's like the Kayfun, Taifun, etc..
