Kanger Subtank Coils keep burning in 2 -3 days.

I have been priming my coils 5 drops in the middle and then 2 drops each hole, then I proceed to hit it at around 15-20watts without firing it up to draw the e juice in. But no matter what it just burns really quick now and it did not do that before when I first purchased the subtank. I did check the authenticity of the coils and the tank and I am using 0.5ohm coils. Anyone know what could possibly be causing this? I am using 70/30 juice btw

All you can do is turn the heat down on the new coils. It is nothing you are doing wrong but rather the coils. Happens with almost every topper you buy. Seems companies when they put out the tanks the coils are good but once a lot of tanks are sold the companies then sub out the coils to other companies and they cheapen them down and they do not work as well. Every stock coil I rebuild is better than original and can take more heat. Every company could make coils better if the cared. I rebuild a lot of coils with SS wire now. Easiest coils to rebuild are the stock Atlantis style vertical coils. I have 100's of coils. My local vape store saves them for me. I rebuild them some and keep some for myself. Works out well for both of us as they would just throw them out anyways. CHEERS!

Which coil? The 1.2 and 1.5 VOCC's will burn at 20W.

Get the priming going before you even fill the tank and put it together. I've managed 5 drops per hole before even thinking about dropping in the top of the coil.

Start low. 8w, 10w, 12w... etc. I'm at full power by the 30th (?) puff.

The vertical Kanger coils seems to ask for even more power than the old OCCs. They're a good (ish) vape but more power, more vaporizing, less life, probably.

15w is maybe too low for best performance (0.5ohm) 18w + seems good. 25w is too much for me, but I could see them doing 30w-40w. 60w seems unlikely to me.
Maybe somebody knows about that?

ill try priming it better then start at 8w then go up. But I use 0.5ohm and it says 15w-60w and I always start around 15 w and never go pass 20 w anyways. Could if possibly be my juice? I dont remember this happening when I first got the vape only in the last couple months.
If you are using a high VG juice it may not wick it fast enough to keep up.

I've moved down to 50/50 for my Subtank (which isn't an issue since I DIY/vape flavorless) just because I've found high VG really gunks up the coils fast and can hardly keep up with the size of the wick holes, on both the RBA and the pre-built heads.

Might wanna try upping the PG in your juice. I usually hit the .5 ohm pre-built VOCC heads with 30 watts without issue.
