kanger subtank mini small problem

okay, so i had a problem yesterday where i would keep getting juice popping up on the draw, that problem is solved, however, now on only the second day of light use, on the 1.2 ohm coil that came with the tank i am getting a pretty harsh smokey taste. Its not overwhelming like it is when a coil is burnt out, just an unpleasant taste. I did 4 drops of liquid on the coil before using, everything is screwed in tight. Do i need maybe a couple more drops on the coil?

FYI: using an istick 30w burning at about 14.5-15w

15 watts? That's overkill for a Kanger 1.2 ohm coil. You should try cutting that all the way in half. That could also be a source of liquid spitting up the mouth piece. It's just too hot for a Kanger.

I have not tryed the 1.2 ohm, but I have no problem running the 0.5 at 25 watt. And the rba section built at 0.7 at 20 watt. Awsome vape.

Nah 14 watts on a istick 20w worked for me but I did get dry hits sometimes. That's probably what you are getting. If you hit it too hard or too fast it would happen to me. Very harsh. I recently started using the rba section and just wicked and used their pre-built coil and the flavor has been fantastic. No dry hit yet either and saves you 4-5 bucks per coil.

With a fresh 1.2 coil start in the 10 watt range and increase in .5 increments until your are satisfied. Disregard what it says on the side of coil or watts others are running. There are too many variables.

Unfortunately once you get that burnt hit it can be hard to rid your coil of that taste.

Exactly. I have ruined many a coil by starting with my Watts set too high. Start low and work your way up.
