Ordered 1 pack to check it out. Have not rebuilt a subtank coil yet as I have not had one go bad yet.

I got the email from VS about these. Take some pictures of the coil if you can, I'm wondering if they went with 28g or 30g nickel. I'm guessing 30g.

I just got mine in yesterday, USPS came earlier than expected

They work really well, I'd say flavor is better than the stock heads, though they spit alot for the first few minutes of use.

I've found that the wattage recommendation on the side is worthless though (20-45w suggested) and I've found 20w to be the max I would run YMMV.

When temp control kicks in it settles in the 10-15 watt range anyway.

I am having the same exact problem. Using the XPV. When ths happened with the first coil I switched to a new one and had same problem. My only fix is to take the sub tank off for a few minutes then put it back on. Will work great until you put it down for a few minutes then it throttles back the voltage extremely low and temperature control appears on screen every time. I start with 400 at 25 watts which works great until you let it rest. I have dropped the temperature down to 290 and it will still say temperature control and become useless. I wonder how many people are having this problem?

After messing with these and reading other posts in other threads I believe that these are worthless. No matter what I do, juice I use, temp setting and wattage they just start hitting tc instantly and produce very little vape. Bad reviews from others all over these forums.

I'm really disappointed, I was hoping for pain free tc but I'll just still to the RBA with nickel which works great. I use a small bolt to make the spaced coils, takes me a couple minutes and I have very little issues

so I played with it. 420 hits tc. I am at 500 and 35w. I found much higher had much better flavor. I bet the coil does not last long. now that I have the rba coil I can just give it to someone to build. the price of the tank and coils locally is absurd. if I told you would laugh or cry.


(that is extremely strange. I typed this post in my thread about having taste issues with these coils anyways I guess I fixed it. odd that I like way more power than most people.)

okay I settled on 560f at 35w. I can taste it 15 minutes after my last puff. strange other people felt it needed to be lower. kanger does say 35-45. I wish the dna40 went higher wattage so I could try it. have to wait for yihi I guess. I just hope I am not causing myself harm at those settings. tastes real good now.

I'm unhappy with these coils too. They're fine at first but after a couple of tanks, performance drops right off and I have to crank up the power really high to get any vapour.

I find it depends on the juice I use. The sweeter juices clog the coil in just a few days. Fruitier juices don't seem to foul the heads nearly as fast - often getting a week or so from a head before things start falling off noticeably,
