I've decided that my daily vape device is the istick30w with the nautilus mini. Howsoever I want to try a little sub ohming with the prospect of eventually building my own coils. A couple of people recommended the eleaf melo to me but I've been looking at the kanger subtank. I want something that's going to produce massive clouds. Which I can't achieve with the nautilus. Any help is greatly appreciated. Cheers

Alot of that is going to depend on what device you'll be running the tank on. The Subtank is good for 15 to about 35 watts with the occ heads. After that, the flavor turns south. Also, insofar as rebuilding goes, keep in mind that the Subtank RBA is tiny and might be a little cramped for rebuilds. That said, it does give flexibility in the way it's used. The OCC heads produce tons of flavor and vapor. And Kangertech has 3 different tanks to choose from ( the Nano doesn't support an RBA, though) and a fourth coming soon. Good build quality too. Lots of people love the Lemo for rebuilds, though.

The Melo doesn't have an RBA section, so you are limited to the BVC heads, The ST will give you both options without a separate purchase. A note on those Melo heads as well, I just watched a video by RiP and he showed the coils are not fully made of cotton, they have the same "material" the older Atlantis coils had, in fact, the Melo is basically an Atlantis with more juice capacity. You also have the option of .5Ω and 1.2Ω OCC heads with the ST's. Go with the ST mini, you can find them for around $35 most places.

If you want to try sub ohm and/or build.. Why not just get a true rebuildable to play with..... Seems something designed to be rebuilt, rather than designed for disposable heads and adapted for building, would be the better place to learn. I mean hey it's convenient for your Clearo to be buildable should you chose or run out of factory heads. Yes, the sub tanks will make big clouds, as compared to your Nautilus. BUT, it wont be pushing anything considered massive.

Never used the Melo, but have a ton of experience with the ST Mini...I have 4 of them and use both the occ coils and the rba section...I find the rba section very easy to work on because of the way they included wire channels where the leads screw down...there is a great rip trippers build video that shows all you need to know. ST would also be great with your iStick 30 since the ST offers a great vape at lower wattages...IMO there is currently nothing on the market that beats the ST Mini in terms of performance, flexibility and quality.

I'll have to agree with mesamay2003 on this. Sub Tank Mini is the way you want to go. You get the best of both worlds. Also the OCC coils are easily cleaned. Just rinse under hot water and let dry for the night. Like new !
