Hi all. Today, while unscrewing the base on my Subtank Plus, the top part of the base remained on the tank. Did this happen to any of you guys? BTW, it is leaking like mad from the airholes, while lying down:-(
Thats a first for me, I have a sub tank mini a black one, it does not leak if it tighen it down enought, butit never leaked from the air ports. I think you got a bad one, cam you send it back?
Hi MortenOJ,
Have you searched the threads for information on the Kanger Subtank Plus? The reviews seem to imply leaking is an issue. I can't say that with experience though as I don't own the Plus.
From what I've experienced and read it's not an issue with the Mini or the Nano which I have both of.
I have had this happen on my mini. I cleaned out all the gunk and put the base back together making sure to tighten it up good. I have not had it happen since. U need to get the rest of the base off the tank first though.
Also a first for me. My Subtank Plus is the least finicky tank I own. I use it constantly in rba mode with Ni200 coils and she's a champ. Never a leak. And I give away the stock coils.
My eyesight isn't the best and it may be the angle, but that coil look like it's high on the post.
You might have over tightened it :/. You don't want it to be super tight, just snug. I have the white Subtank Mini v2 that came with my Subox Mini and I have the new Black Subtank Plus for my D2, haven't had any leaking issues or issues of any kind :/

You mean, it's leaking because it is overtightened? I managed to put the darn thing back together now. I'll try not to tighten it too much... The funny thing is, it only leaks when lying on its side...

I mean the threads on the airflow base came off because you over tightened. Not sure why you're leaking. Could be that the coil/RBA needs tightened up or you need some new o rings. Or it could just be a factory defect. I'm not sure. I just know that my tanks have never leaked :/
I don't have any leakage from the o-rings and the coil is tight. I think, that the juice goes thru the coil and to the base, and thus it leaks thru the airholes. But why it only happens, when it is lying down, is beyond my understanding
