Kanger subvod battery question?

Ordered a replacement battery. Came in the mail. The box states that it puts out 4.2 volts. Thought this was Strange because i always see it advertised as 3.7 volts. Its authentic checked the code on the box. Any thoughts?

3.7 is the nominal voltage, 4.2 the fully charged / peak voltage.

It's an unregulated device with protecrions. LiIon batteries typically range from 4.2 V peak down to 3.0/3.2 V. The 3.7/3.6 seen on battery wraps, etc. is the nominal voltage... the average or stablest, levelest part of the discharge curve.

It outputs 3.7v according to Kanger. It vapes consistently enough for me to believe this.
Quite what is going on I can't say.
