Everyone whose tried it knows this is the toughest part. Here is the trick I stumbled on that I haven't seen yet:

After you get the coil legs through the base, take the rubber grommet and the metal peg and assemble them as if they were installed, except outside the head. Slide one of the coil legs through the inlet hole on the metal peg. It is now MUCH MUCH easier to push the grommet and metal peg assembly into the base hole. I use a pair of needle nose pliers to grip the end of the metal peg and this step is now trivial. After this is done, pull out the metal peg and complete the rebuild like normal.

I hope this helps. I was tired of fiddling around with tweezers and I'm glad I came across this technique. If the procedure is not clear, I can post pics or an illustration.

How is the evod easier to rebuild? anyone care to share?

I don't have an Evod; but here's the replaceable head - can see where this is an easier rebuild:

Here is something interesting. I've removed one coil from Innokin dual coil clearo and put it in T3 head. This coil has a thicker wick and my T3 now vapes like a champ, more vapor and flavor. My T3 head now read 3.9 ohm but that don't matter if you're in Watts setting. Worth a try if you have a dead head, hate your Innokin dual clearo and are bored :)

A vape shop near you
Just put a bit of saliva on it (optional) than with needlenose pliers with one prong in and one out lean it in down and away from you. Once the one side is in, without pulling the pliers out, do not press on the arm much that is still inside the grommet, just use the outside prong to push the other side in. It really isn't all that hard. Took my about 30 minutes to figure it out. Once you get it once you'll be able to do it over and over. Or..

Just buy some real equipment and toss those turds in the trash.
