Hey, (sorry for noobish questions)
So I ordered my 3rd ecig kit, eGo Twist batt. and two vision ego clearos. Should be enough to get me going in VV world, although I'm not sure about anything, it's been some time since I used an ecig, I just want to stick with it this time. 5 damn days spent in these forums, watching videos, reviews, info, just learning.
Anyway, I want to buy a Kanger T3 clearo so I can change the coil & wick myself, experiment with it a little, with no need to buy a new clearomizer/atomizer/cartomizer..
I'm asking for short/long stories about it from experience, suggestions, alternatives maybe. For an example, what parts (wire, wick) should I use, resistance of the wire, wick & wire thickness, etc. Seems damn too advanced for me at this point, but oh well. I just want to learn, until I get my hands on everything myself. Btw, I'm from Europe (Latvia), so if any of you know a good online store to purchase spare parts for atomizers/clearomizers, would be great. Thanks in advance!

All you need to rebuild Kanger T3 is: Kanthal wire (I use A1 #32), wick (silica, cotton, SS, hybrid, etc.), and a tweezer or something to push the grommet in (PITA compared to ViviNova). The steps to rebuild them are almost identical to ViviNova, but you have less space to work with. Todd did a video tutorial which can be found: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KFZqjRfLIJc.

Do keep in mind that T3 provides a cooler vape compared to other top coil clearos, so if your interested in a bottom coil clearo but with a warmer vape then I would wait for the release of the mini T3.

Cedric , what size is the wick dia. ? ( i seem to remember 2mm.) I believe the original heads come with silica wick correct ? And lastly where do you buy this stuff ? Thanks a lot

The wick diameter depends on what wick material you use and for which device. The T3 uses 2mm silica + 2 flavor wick strings (prevents flooding with high PG% eliquids), but I prefer to rebuild them with SS/cotton. I purchase all my materials on Ebay:

2 mm Silica Wick | eBay
Resistance Heating Wire Kanthal A1 32ga 100ft | eBay

No I'm not looking for a How-to, I'm just learning about wires & wicks. Found a post in the forums, led me to this - Kanthal A1 .15 .20 .25 Atomizer Resistance Wire x 5m | eBay
What I'm interested in is the wire types, I see there are A1, A, D, etc. Diameters, resistances. Now I see that diameter refers to resistance, the less diameter, the less resistance that wire has. Or I'm mistaking, again :) I want to get some help on this, cuz I'm not going to buy new clearo heads all the time, better to repair them with new wires & wicks. Same for rebuildable atomizers, I had no idea what to search for on ebay for example, if I want to find a suitable resistance wire.

Kanthal A1 resistance wire for making and rebuilding coils for rebuildable atomizers.

Kanthal A1 differs from kanthal A and D in that it is more stable at higher temperatures due to a slightly different ratio of Iron, Chromium and Aluminum.

Kanthal A1 - 1400°C (2600°F)

Kanthal A - 1350°C (2460°F)

Kanthal D - 1300°C (2370°F)
