I was fooling with the wifes mini wanting to set it for Kanthal, in VW mode, no TC. Looking at the instructions, I don't see that described. How do you set these things for that.

Hit the power button 3 times to cycle through the 5 modes.. When you see a "W" after the number, you're in Powermode/VW Mode. If you see an "F" or "C" for Fahrenheit and Celsius you're in one of the 4 TC modes. Also when in TC mode, the wattage will be shown in place of where the volts are shown in power mode. In TC mode you will also see, NI, TI, Nicr and SUS in the upper right on the screen.

In otherwords, just keep hitting the fire button 3 times to cycle through the modes.

I dunno if this thing is defective or not. When I install a battery the screen shows "Kangertech", then shows 9.99Ω, 75. W, 230t1 *C. I can't get it to do anything else.

It's normal for it to show 9.99 when there is no atomizer attached. Are you saying the mod isn't allowing you to switch modes by pressing the fire button 3 times? If that is the case, then yes the mod is probably defective.

No, I didn't have an atomizer on it when I was trying to adjust it to a setting that I wanted. I'll try it with an atty attached.

Ok. I'm too used to mechs. The reason I was fooling with it is the wife was trying to reset it a few days ago, and turned it on, and it wouldn't shut off, so I figured I'd see if It would work for me. I'll probably take it back to the B&M tomorrow but I'm wondering if they can do anything with it due to the new regs.

So not having the atty on wasn't the problem then?

I was just at a local B&M out here in CA and the owners took back a Rx200s someone bought 5 days ago from them. Might be a good sign that other shops aren't closing and are actually honoring some kind of a return policy.
