Hi, wondering if anyone can shed some light on this, I am using a istick 20W with Genitank and Kanger Update coil 1.2, firstly, the display is saying 1.3-1.4, secondly, after only a couple fillings, vaping at 12-13 watts, it starting to taste very burnt. Is this normal? Am I doing something wrong? Been using Freedomsmoke USA Smurf Blood 6mg. Thanks.

Do you mean the 'upgraded' version 2 Kanger dual coils?
If so, maybe try a different coil instead.
In fact, on an iStick 20w, they are just trouble all the way, as iStick 20w doesn't go low enough with it's power regulation. Basically, it won't drop below the (volts) output of the battery, regardless of the screen/settings. If you put a 1.2ohm coil on a 4.2v battery, you get nearly 15 watts, as there's not much you can do about it.
I'm sorry to report this, but it was the reason many people went to the 30w or started buying different tanks/resistances.
If you could put a 1.8ohm or higher coil in it, there'd be less trouble.

Thanks for replying, yes, I believe it is the version 2. I thought that the lower ohm coils would be able to handle higher watt? But you think that higher is better? I might look at a different tank also, any suggestions? Don't want sub ohm or anything, just a nice simple tank. 
They should be good at them at power did you prime the coils?

It seems Eleaf dropped the ball with the istick 20 watt. It doesn't control the power very well. I had the same problem with mine. Everything would taste burnt even at the very lowest setting with a 1.8 coil. I replaced my 20's with istick 30's and I love them.

It is not the coils - it is the Mods inability to accurately output below BATTERY Power.
a) Pick up 1.7ohm or higher
b) Acquire a Tank that can handle lower ohm Coils at 15w+
c) Replace the Mod with a true Buck/Boost board
