KangerTech Atomizers tasting burnt

So i'm not new to vaping, but i just registered and it will only let me post to this.

I have been vaping a kangertech aerotank mini since around the time it came out, i got it around halloween i believe, and i bought the eLeaf iStick 20W that i dont believe they sell anymore. anyways i have been really pleased with the product and for the money i threw down on it, it has been well worth it.

BUT

the last week or so, ive gone through about 6 atomizers. i normally would have used the same one for almost 2 weeks. granted ive been vaping more lately, but not that drastically. after a day or so the vape starts to taste burnt. i have been trying not to burn my atomizers dry or anything and i have been careful to make sure its all wicking properly, but it still will burn out the atomizer within a day or so.

If anyone knows why this is, or if maybe i might be doing something stupid or its just time to invest in a new tank, let me know.

thanks

Sounds like a bad batch of replacement heads.

All the companies have stretches of poor quality control it seems. Sorry to say, this is part of the business, and why many of us decided to get into rebuildables.

I can make my own coils and wicks for cheaper than anything factory made. Bigger coils and larger wicks equals better flavor and more vapor. If my vape sucks, I have no one to blame but myself, not because some factory worker in China was having a bad day. In addition, my builds will still be the same when the Chinese factory decides to discontinue making those particular heads for that particular tank because they are now making a new model. (Expect this to happen every 6 months or so)

Ya I noticed this also.. i burned 2 atomizers since Thursday last week.. i think they are made pretty crappy.. i am using the rba right now it seems to be doing better I would say go that route or replace everything in the atomizer and go from there..

I think that is the best help you are going to get..
I have a segeli 150w I run the mini at 19 to 21w..

Don't own an aerotank but I use a subtank mini and I was having the same issue at first. What I did that seems to have fixed the problem was:
-Disassembling the tank and cleaning all the parts in warm water
-Found the sweet spot for the atomizer coils: 22-25 watts depending on the juice.
-Trying other pg/vg mixes
-Adjusting the airflow: I really think this made a huge difference in my case

Ultimately, maybe check the mod to see if the output is accurate.

Welcome wmac :)

I have a couple of Subtank Nanos as well as a Subtank Mini. I'm pretty happy with the OCC heads (I just got these tanks within the last month). I wanted the Mini to try the RBA deck. So far, I'm struggling getting my wicking to work correctly, but I'll get there!

Just make sure you prime the coil REALLY well, and I like to start low (around 10-12W depending on which resistance head I'm using) and slowly work my way up to my desired power level.

Good Luck :)
