Burning Taste, help me!

Hello! Somewhat new to the world of vaping. Have had my KangerTech aerotank mini for about 4 months, then it started to leak so I replaced the atomizer with the replacement it came with. Had all kinds of trouble unscrewing the whole damn thing because the leak made everything stick together! Anyway, got it all figured out, replaced the atomizer, even replaced the glass with the metal tank and I start hitting it and I'm getting smooth clouds on medium voltage, then I get a burning taste, turn down the voltage where there is little air flow and every 3rd hit it taste burnt. I've made sure the atomizer is tightened, voltage is low, it's brandnew, hasn't even been used a full day. So I'm a bit stuck. Help me!

Sounds like you may be vaping too quickly for the wicking process to keep up. I've been using a Kanger Protank 2 for over a year now, and ive found that when I'm vaping a lot in a short period of time, it helped to give a few primer puffs before every drag (essentially, take a drag without pressing the fire button, with a little extra force). This helps bring juice into the wick quicker. I caution you though, it may put a strain on your jaw after a while, as it did with me from time to time. It's the nature of the beast though - sometimes wicking can be slowed considerably with the vacuum that some of these tanks create, and you just need to help it along.

Something else you can try between rips is tipping your tank upside down so that the surface of the juice inside (where juice meets air) meets up with where your wicks would be - then give it a few spins or whatever. You'll get the hang of it after a while.

Good luck.

Also, you say you've been using this tank for 4 months, so you are probably pretty comfortable with it. I'm not sure how often you replace the atty heads, but i will say that in my experience with tank atty replacements, all of them perform differently. I've gone through many an atty head during my Kanger use, and I can safely say that some of them performed much better than others. Some had really had air flow, some didn't wick as easy, etc. There were even times when I replaced an atty head after only a few draws, simply because it was just a lousy atty. I'm not sure if these inconsistencies are found in all atty tanks, but if so, it is possible you may just be working with an atty head that requires a little more love and effort (by methods I mentioned above) on your part.
