KangerTech Customer Support

I purchased 4 protank II's from one of the major online retailers and not one of them would draw a properly (think mud through a straw). I contacted KangerTech and was informed that I would have to pay shipping to return them for inspection and return shipping and insurance if they found nothing wrong. Well, that's a lot of money. So I called the retailer from whom I purchased the ProTank II's and they sent me four AeroTank bases for free and now, with the AeroTank bases, all four ProTank II's run like champs.

My questions are:

1) Is kangerTech's customer service known for being "shady" & next to worthless?

2) Is the design of the ProTank II defective?

Thanks in advance

It's a problem with the 510 thread interface.

At the bottom of the tank is the 510 thread; and in this picture you can see one of the airholes.
That 510 thread screws onto the battery, and that airhole has to get air to pass through the space.

The aerotank and the nautilus get rid of one problem with the 510 thead interface by taking the airflow from the sides of the tank instead of requiring the airflow to come up from the 510 thread.
