Hey Guys,

Been on here before to get some help and hoping some of you can do it again.

I'm using a joyetech E-grip now and want to upgrade to the Kangertech Nebox.

Couple questions:

1. I know the Kangertech Nebox needs a 18650 battery. But I've never used a mod with a removable battery. What is the best battery for the longest life?

2. Also do I need to buy a battery charger? Or can I just charge the battery through the device itself?

Thanks

I have a nebox you o ly have to change the battery out about once a year you charge it via a usb cable, but I should warn you before you buy it,a lot of people, including myself have had trouble with the usb port it will loosen, and mine came completely out and I had to attatch it to the usb charger, which is not advisable if you dont know how to do it. The guy at my local vape shop did mine for me I did not want to fool with it and do something stupid,so if it does come loose make sure you k ow how to fix it, if you dont take it to someone you trust who is experienced,or A professional the battery you me tioned lasts a year.other concerns about the nebox are leaking because of the plastic tank, but if you store it and charge it on it's side(as suggested) you shouldnt have a problem,I haven't.the other thing is cleaning, make sure you use a syringe or dropper so that it doesnt get water in the airflow hole where the battery is also held.if you have questions about the coils, let me know and I will tell you. I hope that hepled and if you have any other questions don't be afaraid to ask
I. An probably walk you through the entire set up_ good luck!

There are a number of batts that will work well for a single 18650 device like the NEBox. The most affordable suitable OEM batts are Samsung 25r's, (2500 mah). Other favored models include Sony VTC4's, (2100 mah), VTC5's, (2600 mah), Panasonic 30Q's, (3000 mah), LG HE2's, (2500 mah), and HG2's, (3000 mah).

This is just a quick and dirty list. There are other good options as well. Check out this table, (all listed models with an actual CDR of 20 amp+ are technically gtg), made by our forum member Mooch, who really knows his poop when it comes to batteries:

As for charging; you don't need a separate battery charger, but it's recommended to use one. They're not very expensive, and buying one with at least four bays is probably a good idea, as you'll most likely end up using its full capability in the future. ;)

Not so far...but I would strongly advise anyone not to buy it!!!!that thing sucks juice like crazy and is a certifiable p.o.s.,you can get way more bang for your buck elsewhere.the tc is way off,and it runs coils like a speed demon!!!even if you tend to it properly which I did.the battery crapped out after six weeks..it wouldn't hold charge wirth a crap after that.even after a full charge ,it lasts about four hours then craps out!!!I only run it rarely now and only tc,and I would say this too, dont push it above50watts in tc-ever .it will crap out like you can not believe even at only 250degrees,I was really disappionted.there are way better mods out there for the price!#!
