Hello folks, hope you are all ok. For once thank God in the part of ENgland I live in the sun is amazing & the rain has quit so it's the first real day of Summer, feeling irie :)

So back to my post I guess, I lost my old kit a few months ago & sadly went back to the Vapourlites VL1T tobacco eCig as £'s were tight for a while, finally yesterday I had some spare quid & went shopping. I got a protank mini 3 & an 1300mah Ego Battery.

My questions for the start are related to the protank for the moment.

1) What purpose does having a drip tip that you can take off serve? I really can't see any point to it if I am honest, I have seen on the local shops website they have many different kinds of drip tip but I just can't see the point in it but I am kinda new to stepping up my equipment in terms of vaping.

2) What purpose does Dual core mean & what does it do for you?

My battery atm as I said is a 1300mah Ego Battery but I have my eye on a Vision Spinner 2 1600mah, is this any good? if not what do peopl think I should go with, my budget is around £25 - £30 max.

Thanks in advance, any reply posts please try to keep it very simple language & keep it in layman's terms please, ther is nothing worse than getting lost in a thread when asking for advice & people go into "vape porn" if you follow me.

Thanks people & anyone in the UK enjoy the sun while you can, nothing better than a nice COffee in the sun & a good hit of Chefs Vapour juice in the fluffy nuts or Apple Pie & Irish cream custard.

Hello I like the sunshine as well lol
1. Ease of cleaning - you can get other tips that are cool lol
2. Twin coils give more vapor and better flavor - with the right settings on a mod . Work s on my ego's just fine too.

Thanks, I was just rubbing my head trying to work out what the mouth piece you can pull off was actually meant to do, I had a protank 2 before I lost it & it was solid & you can imagine my panic yesterday thinking I had just broken my Kanger when I had only had it less than 5 mins. You live & learn I guess so thanks for clearing that up for me.

Personally I can't really tell that much difference between the 2 & 3 tank but it has been several months since I used one, I can sure tell the difference between what I got now & the Vapourlites VL1T Tobacco eCig though.

Everyone loves the sun, kinda lucky your in the USA you should come over here & then you would see why some decent rays of light is a big deal ;)
I had a sun fetish since I spent nearly a year in Norway, the winter over there did something to me & now I am a proper fan of decent weather.

The idea is two coils will produce more vapor than one coil in a shorter time. As for drip tips, some serve a purpose like keeping your mouth cool, providing a tighter or looser drag and some just look pretty. As for the vision spinner that's a good unit. It has a decent battery life and it's made well. I hope this helps and answers your questions. Best wishes

Thanks people, I don't mean to sound stupid but the drip tip kind of works like a "roach" in a roll up, so I take it you can get wider ones with more gap to let alot more vape through?

Realsis - Thanks for taking up the question on the Vision Spinner, does it have one of these damn cut off things? Like when you take a nice, big drag & the battery begins to flash at you on the button you hold down to vape?
The chear one I am using atm is driving me crazy if I am honest as it won't let me get a decent toke as I would like to. When I ued to smoke roll ups & also fags I liked to toke on them long, slow & deep. Since I took up the vape I am yet to get a decent toke how I like it. My mate has a Kanger battery which you can turn up & down, he likes to crank it upto 4volts as you get a decent hit from a shaort toke but personally I find it way to much & makes me cough & it feels nasty imho.

When it comes to drip tips, I don't like stainless steel drip tips, especially during winter: It gets soooo coooold! Or while walking, then I get afraid of breaking a tooth. But it can also be pure cosmetics: I got a green mod, it looks good with a green drip tip.
So, replaceable drip tips is easier to clean, and you can choose a material to your liking.

Hi Farmaz - glad you're getting some of the sun - pretty nice in London too! Your battery is good to go with the Protank 3 or Mini so don't worry about that. The drip tip is just there for convenience - you can just push on and take it off whenever, though yes, pointless in terms of being able to refill with it, as the Protank 3 is refilled by turning the unit upside down. I've just tested both the Protank 3s and have a fairly detailed Protank 3 review here which may answer most of your questions. Enjoy the sun while it lasts!

Answers:

1...Having a removable driptip allows people to customize. Some tips give tighter drags, some give looser drags. Some are designed for better temperature control, but those are usually best used on drippers, which can get extremely hot, depending on the Ohms.

2...Dual coils are nice because they heat up faster. However, they also draw more power, so you may want to keep 2 batteries on you at all times.

I'll be honest with you, and I'm sure you've seen it all over on this board...Save up another few weeks and get a MVP 2.0 I wasted too much money on different types of eGos and then the Vision Spinners, when all I really needed was the MVP. The money I spent on the eGo and Visions was enough to buy at least 2 or 3 MVPs. Also, since you have the dual coils, the MVP allows you to take full advantage of them and get the optimum vape.

Just my $0.02

Thanks people for the posts.

@Blindtarm - From Bergen I see, my ex future wife is from Frekhaug, I had 9 months in your fine country, she lives about 30mins away from Bergen, only issue I had with the place was the cost of stuff & Lutefisk.

@Dan Bean - Thanks for the advice, I am looking into your youtube video in a moment after posting this, thanks for the link, this forum is great imho :)

@stringplucker - Thanks for the post, I saw about the vision spinner on their own site saying about charging issues with the new version, think I have saved myself a load of hassle & a few £'s as they are tight atm sadly.

Good choices, Farmaz! As far as drip tips go, I did NOT like mini PT2 for the reason that the drip tip was not removable. I don't like the "feel" of the stainless steel drip tip. It hurts my teeth and feels strange to me. As soon as the mPT3s came out, I bought a bunch. I like the dual coils and the removable drip tip.

I like my MVP2, too, but I also like twists and spinners.

I really like my Kanger 3 Mini ProTanks & I like the fact that I can customize the look & feel of my drip tip with different colors & materials. I have one drip tip which gives a really airy draw & I enjoy that. The drip tip that comes on the Mini ProTank 3 is good, though, & doesn't need to be swapped unless you want to change it out. I also have a Vision Spinner. It's in rainbow, 1300 mAh, & I love the variable voltage. Nice to be able to select the heat level on different flavors. Oh, I found a really affordable price on the Kanger 3 Mini ProTanks on EBay so I bought 5 of them in order to swap out with various flavors & batteries.

It's possible you got hold of a counterfeit KangerTech ProTan ll mini, I have three & just checked, it wiggles a bit, though I knew it came off anyway, as I placed it on out of the package (large box). There's a small box of the same, only without the extra coil, but it still verified as genuine (there's a scratch off serial on the side of the box on both sizes). Take that code & go to the site on the box, however I took it a step further & went to the KangerTech site & found the verification link.

The serials shows as spaced apart, but has to be entered as a single string to validate.

That's how you know you got the real deal or not. But regardless of packaging, the drip tip is easily removeable, as I have three of the minis & two of the ProTank ll. All were purchased from eBay sellers & were genuine, but I also checked feedback before purchase.

BTW, my wife is getting me a MVP2 for my 1st anniversary of quitting smoking. Sounds like I'll enjoy the experience. Like you, I also like my egos, would buy a Spinner ll, but with the four egos that I have & an Astro clone, don't see the need to add an ego at the current time. Maybe later, after a couple of these goes.

Just be sure next time you purchase a KangerTech ProTank, to check the serial. It's supposed to be on the packaging, in fact, there was a recent change, a watermark added.

Sun gone back in again!!!! :(
I've got the Pro Tank 3 and Spinner 1650 combo and they work really well together my only issue is the tank is a touch small so I carry two and extra juice. Seem the English market for Juice needs to up its game as all the good stuff seems to be in the States. What juice are you using and is it British???
