Kangertech replacement coil clone?

Ive had my aerotank 2 for a few months now and its been great. Awesome flavor, do dry hits, and not a single leak. Recently i got some replacement coils. A few days later i noticed leaking from the tank... I thought maybe i had wore the coil out already, so i replaced it. Then the next day i noticed leaking again! Upon closer examination, i've realized the new coils have "Vapor King" engraved on them. The original coils that came with the tank have "KANGERTECK" on it..Did i buy a fake/clone coil? The box they came in looks legit!

I would get in touch with the vendor. You may have a bad batch or maybe they really don't work on your aerotank. Good luck.

I've bought a lot of dual coils for aerotank v2/etc and never have they said anything but Kanger on them. The box is the easiest thing for them to make... can't go by that.

Wild guess... since you say it's leaking... The coils are shorter at the chimney and not only are they clones, they are for another type of tank that takes slightly shorter coils. They should be 1.15 inches long.

Even with a chimney of different lengths, you might push up the little rubber like chimney cap so it makes contact with the tank tube. I have used several types of coils and some have long and some short chimneys. As long as the cap seals to the tube, it should work. Also I would check the seal at the bottom of the coil right above the coil threads. Make sure it has one!
Another possibility is that the wicking material in your new coils may be the cause of the leakage as they may be letting excess juice into the coil chamber and flooding it?

Are you using an adapter of any sort? I had a LOT of leakage issues with my aero mini on a 510 to ego adapter on my mvp(ego connection was too short, bred inconsistencies). I couldn't find any reason for it, but I got a new adapter, and it worked fine again for another 4-6 weeks. Cant say after that, I switched to an aerotank mega and have had ZERO issues in the 2-3 months ive been using it.
