Ok so had this tank about a month and its just started leaking and im not sure where from.
Ive cleaned everything, changed the pyrex tank and the occ but its still leaking.
It seems to leak from the air hole mechanism but dont know how the juice is getting from the tank to there??? Thought maybe the occ is being flooded but that shouldnt happen and not sure how to fix it.
Its not leaking from under the pyrex cos the o rings arent letting the juice go past it.
Any ideas what it could be and how i could fix it?
Thanks

Hey pamelac!

I just had an STM leak on me the other day - not sure what caused it, but I pulled off the base and made sure the OCC was snug, but not over-tight. All my seals were good too.... What kind of watts are you vaping and which resistance coil? If you're a little too low, you might not be vaporizing all the juice.

I had a similar problem. For me, when my juice runs low just enough to cover the OCC alone, juices leaks out just where the AFC ring begins.
I think it may be a pressure problem. I have never solved it,
tried different coils and ever rewicked the coils with a lot of cotton. still leaks with the if and 1.2ohm.
I have not tried the rba section yet. don't know if it would leak the same way.

I don't know how to fix the leak, but I know I went through 7 coils in a matter of 3 days with my subtank mini. Basically 50 bucks wasted. I primed the coils, even tried thinning my juice thinking it was not wicking well in those tiny wicking holes. Anything over a 2 or 3 second hit was burnt and dry with a cottony taste. Be thankful you only have a leaking problem. :)

very true. I can live with the leak. I just wrap the tank in a hand towel when I am not using it. the leak is very.

what I do is prime the coil, put it in the tank for 2 minutes, take it back out and I take a pin and stick it in the cotton at the side of the coils. I make sure the cotton is loose and then screw it back in the tank.
helps with wicking a lot.

Maybe I will try that and see if it helps. I was pretty upset with it. I prime my coils for my other 4 tanks the same way and have never had this issue. Thanks for the tip. I'll give it a shot.

What wattage were you vaping at? Just curious because I have never gotten a burnt hit on an OCC using max VG, but I am usually vaping my Subtanks at under 15 watts.

I started out at 15w. Even that low it was still an awful taste. More cotton taste than burnt at that setting. I just figured it needed a bit to break in. Well over the course of about 4 hours and a half tank of juice I was at 25w and it was just nasty. Burnt taste if I hit it longer than 2 or 3 seconds. replaced the coil at that point only to get the same result. This was with the .5 coils. I popped in the .3 and tried that, it was even worse at the higher wattage around 35w

I use both the RBA and OCC and have never had either of them leak. If you are having leaking issues it probably has something to do with a seal somewhere.

I vaped my .5Ω OCC's at 26-28 watts and didn't get burnt hits, unless I let the juice run too low. What is this .3Ω coil you speak of?

Yea nevermind that comment. The .3 coil I had problems with was my atlantis 2. Not my subtank mini. I got so many tanks I can't keep them straight. The 1.2 coil that came with it was the same result. Didn't matter if I was at 15 watts or 30. I even tried 35 like I do with my atlantis and it was not possible. just very disappointed with the subtank in my experience.

The coil is a 1.2 and i did have it at the lowest my batt would go. Im new to the complex side of vaping so dont really get it all haha
My batt is now at 10watts and havent had any more leaking so hopefully that was it. Fingers crossed

Also it does have the "washer" in, forgot to mention that sorry
